Nice pull DF

Crazy speed off the floor

Speed was sick off the floor, and you called it on the rest. You’ll have it clean in no time, but fuck man, you for on top of a raw 600.

Color me JELLY!

And repping 405 on RDLs, fml!

Let’s postpone LWI West Coast until maybe…2015, so I can inch my way closer to your level of beastness, mmkay?

God damn dude. Your speed off the floor and past the knees is seriously impressive.

Dixies you are right it wasn’t quite there, but fuuuuuuck man you have so much speed of the floor. I’m the complete opposite, slow as a snail off the floor and but rarely miss a lift above the knees. Looked like someone turned off gravity and then turned it on really quick at the top.

you need to work on hip strenght, might have mentionned it before. But damn it’s impressive how easily it comes right off the floor.

3 reds, but you will have it soon enuff.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement

Yeah, I was bein a bit sarcastic bout the 2 whites, no one at my gym has actually powerlifted before or has a clue how judging works

HUMP IT!!!

Haha, I was thinking, “Did Big Time give him a red, and who the F was on the side?”

LWI

I don think anyone has mentioned it yet… but your speed off the floor was ridiculous!

You’ll get a clean comp style pull of 600 real soon! that was awesome

Random lurker, I know, but just wanted to put in my .02 on tests… I know it’s gonna sound weird but I fucking love having midterms/finals/papers – it makes me do it ahead of time and do it right so i can get some goodass training in. I forgot where I saw it, but someone once said something along the lines of “study as hard as you train.”

I think of that everytime I study now.

Anyway, hope you rocked it!

Ink - FWI … I approve

Yeeyek8 - I hear that, been good sessions every day this week so far

Chest and Tri II

Crashed this afternoon and so didnt arrive till little over an hour before the gym closed, so tonight was a fast trip to the Swoly Land, everything was no spotter high rep fun. For tris, I tried out the floor JM Press from todays article, not sure if I did it right, I will upload a vid later, see what yall think. It just felt like a close grip floor press.

Warmups

SR

DB Fly (slow, pause out wide)
3 x 20

DB Flat Press (skipped the light sets, had more energy for the heavy, woot)
70 x 20
80 x 20
90 x 20
100 x 15
110 x 13

Decline Press (bb style as opposed to monday - elbows flared, no lockout, all tension on chest)
135 x 20
185 x 20
225 x 20
275 x 13 (no spotter - cut it before failure)
135 w/pause x 30

Lateral Raises
3 x 20

Floor JM Press
135 x 2 x 10
185 x 10
225 x 10 (video)

Overhead Rope Extension
5 x 10-20

Fly Machine (paused, hard contraction)
2 x 12

International Shoe!

Kick some ass on the exam.

I know there is no strict way to do the JM press, but for me lowering the bar more towards my neck and letting the upper arm tilt a bit more gets my tris a lot better, but you have to back way off the weight.

cool vid if you haven’t seen it:

x2 on what DD said. I don’t like the JM press personally, unless I can find a way to do it without it pissing off my elbow
