Nikki, haha thanks for the concern, I’m not dead yet, dont plan on dying under the bar. I do plan on competing, right now I am planning on one in March, we will see how the school schedule works out, if not March then hopefully this summer.

Sledgehammer Slamming for Cardio

Got a guy interested in joining up for lifting. He tagged along tonight for some “fun” cardio. We just hit the tire for about 30-35 seconds then switched places, back and forth 5 times.

Dude, I watched the band squat vid again, and listened to the guy you were talking to after, when he brought up the old “I don’t do these cuz of my knee, blah blah blah” I LOL’d. You’re an intimidating dude up in there, and I wonder if anyone gets jelly that you’re stealing all the plates!

Yeah school can make the schedule iffy but I hope you do the one in March because I’m really anxious to see how well you do. And I feel sorry for the other guys in your weight class that will get slaughtered.

Ink-Yeah, I got a laugh inside my head when he said that, just had to ignore it. I did get a lot of comments that day about stealing all the plates actually haha.

Nikki-My geared total (which is how I will compete) is roughly Squat - 600 Bench - 455 Deadlift - 550 (all gym lifts) for a rough total of 1605. If I can match that in game day settings, we will see.

good work. nice you are getting shit done with out consistant spotters. I have a 10 second instruction I give to every jack ass I ask to spot me in a commerical gym. ‘on the count of 3 help the bar up, and out. after that do not touch the bar unless it starts to move downwards’.

ME Deadlift

VERY humid gym + no chalk allowed = major grip troubles. I set an all time pr with 560 conventional, started shaking real bad but got it all the way up. Got 525 sumo, and missed 560 when I attempted it sumo. My first attempt at 525 without straps just plain slipped right out of my hands, I couldnt get the bar or my hands dry.
