please tell me what you think of my version of gvt. i have completed the Charles Poliquin version -2 years ago. my body seems to respond fast and best to high volume workouts. i would like to experiment with the gvt outline and use some diffirent compound movements like deadlifts and perhaps even some cleans i also am intersted in mixing in some vince gironda’s 8 sets of 8. here is a sample of a routine i put together that i am considering. tell me what you think.
day 1 back and legs
a. snatch deadlifts 10 sets of 6
a1.leg curls 10 sets of 6 (90 second rest intervals for super sets)
b. front squats 4 sets 6-8 45 second rest intervals
c. close grip chin ups 4 sets of to near failure 45 second rest interavls
day 2 chest and abs
a. dips 8 sets of 8 with 45 second rest intervals
b. incline dumbells 8 sets of 8 reps with 45 second rest intervals
c. maichine press 8 sets of 8 with 45 second rest intervals
d. hanging knee raises 1-2 sets to near failure
day 3 off
day 4 bi’s and tri’s
a. hammer curls 8 sets of 8
b. 2 arm cable curls 8 sets of 8 reps
c. barbell curls 8 sets of 8
a. tricep pressdowns 8 sets of 8
b. dumbell extentions 8 sets of 8
c. reverse pressdown 8 sets of 8
day 5 off
