This is possibly due to mk 677 but I sure don’t think so, as I’ve been using this since Feb 27th.
I still beat every lift.
I’ll try dosing the mk tomorrow morning vs evening as I have been.
It’ll likely cause ravenous hunger though as it causes me to want to get up middle of the night and eat. I’ll use it at noon actually ad that’ll make sense.
Ifni am taking it at ten pm and hitting extreme lethargy at ten am then taking at noon should leave drowsiness at midnight. Logical I think.
Nothing more to report. I think I am slowly getting more muscular while maintaining the same bodyfat level. I will just play it week to week as I go. This way I can continue on and see results
In general, body RECOMPOSITION should be possible with the fact that I am on the MK677 and Cardarine. These two compounds change the way that glucose and energy metabolism work.
Fasted am cardio today. I can’t run this on a deficit and I do not have the fat level to recomp so I’d be spinning my wheels. It’s been close to six weeks and I need to get the fat off in order to be able to do this properly.
Meal 2
250g of 96% lean beef
Tablespoon of olive oil
vegetables
green tea
Meal 3
300g of lean chicken
~300g of sweet potato
vegetables
Apple cider vinegar
green tea
Meal 4
Fat-free kvarg
Tablespoon of fish oil
On training days I train ~3 hours after meal two and I use the following peri-workout nutrition protocol:
Before training:
40g if whey
5g of maltodextrine
5-10g of glutamine
During training:
15g of aminos
40-60g of maltodextrine
5g of salt
After training:
40g of whey
15-25g of maltodextrine
5-10g if glutamine
This has worked really well for me, but it may be a bit too radical for some people (it may differ a bit from what I outlined in my log but that’s just from my poor memory)
Gotcha. I need to lose this fat so that I can return to DC. As stated, this wont work in a deficit for me. I understand people have different recovery thresholds, and mine apparently is that I have no recovery for this.
That sucks.
This was a great learning experience for sure, but I almost believe those huge jacked guys over at intense muscle now when they say that it should not be taken on as a program unless you are huge.
You may be right that it’s more for advanced (huge) guys, but they’re are certainly some valuable tools for the intermediate lifter as well. I do agree, however, I wouldn’t want to run it at a deficit. So, what’s next as far as programming?
I’ll switch to a rest pause higher volume split where on workout days I eat bigger and on off days I eat a deficit. This works for me to burn fat and I always feel energetic on pump type programs.
That’s why I thought I’d get away with the same type of setup on DC, but the intensity just didn’t work for me.
well i need to diet, and i tried to justify trying this again but just cant.
I was having workout hangovers… Which according to a pretty great article here, are from cortisol.
I am not entirely certain if this is from all the different stressors in life, or what.
I do know that on low carb i felt great.
I also know that i have done low carb on a program called “big beyond belief” which seemed to help me a lot.
I don’t see a reason to log it though here. Unless you are still around, but it would not be DC training so you may not (understandably) have an interest.
I won’t argue that. DC training, every rest pause is three different mini failures in the set.
Hence why I am going to look at big beyond belief, but also at the two you posted up.
Westside isn’t new to me. I never did it but that one has been around forever I know.
The zombie one, that is new to me. Can’t wait to take a look at it.
Also, have you seen big beyond belief? It’s by Leo Costa Jr. It uses ramping up during the week in intensity, and then each week until you are pushing the concept of over training.
As has been said here, at 18% bodyfat I need to cut down. Hence using a keto diet now to diet down and maybe take another run at DC when i can be in a nice surplus.
yeah I have done big beyond belief myself actually, I made ok progress on the 4 day then went up to 6 and completly crashed for both was on a lean bulk/calorie surplus. No way would i recommend on keto or a cut.
There’s a big thread here on it -a few guys got stellar result but most were a mixed bag. I think basically you need to be very in tune to your body and be the type of person who responds well to bro splits to benefit.
