Am going to peek at the prices of chicken at Sam’s club today. Around these parts it is $1.99/ lb but I can’t see Sam’s being much better than that.

I’ve used a $200 Breville counter top oven for ever but will break out the standard sized one here so that I can bake this stuff en mass.

I have some brown Jasmine rice that I can cook up too.

How is that possible? The cheapest lean chicken you can get around here is about 7€/kg

Alot is said about the USA and its food supply but we produce a lot of poultry. I can get 1 lb of kean ground turkey for 2.79 (€2.50) too.

Ground beef is around $4.89/ lb for 90% lean.

Heck, I can get five dozen eggs for $5.00 now.

On the rare occasion I come across lean turkey it’s 15-17€/kg and that is just ridiculous

On a more positive note, 90% lean red meat is about 6,50€/kg if you don’t mind the fact that it’s from Germany

Indeed, this is something that is seeping into our food ecosystem here. You can find beef that is a “product of” and lists Canada, USA, Mexico, Venezuela.

I am becoming convinced though that these types of foods are absolutely not going to be treated the same as something more pure.

That’s true, at least here.
Everybody (me included) would much rather buy locally produced meat than something imported, it’s just that the price of locally produced meat is much higher

Yep. It’s 9pm now. I think I’m going to to back to a 16/8 eating schedule. It works well for me and I enjoy being full before bed.

no training today. Cardio only

I am supposed to do back squats, but the drive isn’t there today. I am wiped out from the heat this afternoon (it was 100f/38c).

I will have to switch to either morning workouts or…

Well, I can’t avoid the heat unless I do morning workouts, but they do not work for me.

I’ll manage to nap after work and eat a small meal and just overcome the heat, that’s probably best.

So that’ll give me a traditional 3 on 4 off this week, unless I feel I have it inside me to do 2 on 1 off later this week.

In other news, I ordered cardinine and I’ll hopefully have that by Friday or Saturday.

That will help with the energy levels after the hot desert sun.

Cardio session

Training was great today.
I am eating under calories by around 150-200 daily.

Intermittent fasting daily.

Ask and I’ll go into details. I won’t prattle on when I have but one reader who likely thinks I’m a lost cause changing diets up every 2 days.

Off today.
No cardio.

I managed to fast to the 15 hour mark or so. For some reason last night I was awake with cravings for cinnamon chex.

Not a big deal. The diet is setup so that late night cravings (when I literally am awaken in the middle of the night) are accounted for.

I set up the diet at 2400 calories. I am thinking that is a little bit of a bigger deficit. The last few days I have been eating to 2200, so eating late doesnt matter.

What matters is adherance to the plan.

The fasting will then be secondary. I will try my best, days like today were taxing.

I worked a longer than usual 10 hour day. 19000 steps, which is what i usually come to with cardio anyhow.

This is an interesting compound. I took a risk based on the bad science around the trials and the hype over cancer vs the fact there were too many variables to taint these studies.

I will therefore disregard discussion on that, if people want to cry afoul there are other places that you can do that in the proper sections.

Tired now though. Time to relax.

TRAINING LOG AND NOTES

I don’t know how much of this is related to cardarine or toy being on high calories up until last Monday.

Apparently the cardarine should start to make me feel stamina immediately.

My highest post set heart rate is below, as are training logs.
Not sure how much is placebo or effects from the new supplement.

I over ate protein today, not on purpose…

I think I look BIGGER but I’ve been on my lowest calories in 4 MONTHS this week.

Wouldn’t say that’s a problem, but how did you manage to accidentally eat 134g over your goal?
I mean, that’s like, 1.5 pounds of meat

Nice progress once again, I just wish I could do DC, but it’s not an option with so much other stuff going on

I lost track of my food, and ended up eating 2 large protein shakes. When I got home I had 8 oz boneless skinless chicken breasts, and a large shake. That there alone was close to 130g protein (remember, i am fasting so this is what happens), and then after that, adding in another shake (forgetting the first one) post workout pushed that close to 225g, then food on top of that.
