A IT Guy

Been meaning to pop in here for a while

great job very impressive work

Damn fine results Colin, absolutely outstanding.

Yes sir, nice transformation.

Wow Colin…that is an awesome change!! The before and after shot blew me away!!

Wow, thanks for all the encouragement guys, feeling the forum love an I appreciate it. Really cool how we all support each other no matter what the goal is.

Soon as I hit goal I plan on writing up the whole experiencence, maybe it might help someone going through the same thing.

Thank you all again!

*Chief, I still don’t think I will be modeling any speedo’s but you never know…LMAO

Finally got to look at your progress pics. Really awesome. I think people love the idea of what’s possible with transformation. Very motivating.

I’m always really interested in how people’s strength waxes and wanes with body weight changes. For instance, if you can still lift the same weight at a lower BW, that’s huge progress.

CLOUD! CLOUD is hot and will stay hot. I am a Enterprise Architect for HP and a Master Cloud Arch. CLOUD is the new outsourcing. If you get into virtualization (server) or on the networking side it would be a esy transition. If you want something more of a challenge do some form os SW devlopment…

I was thinking the same thing. The cloud sure isn’t going anywhere, lol. Thanks for the input Adam!

How is that switch in career training going. I too have 10 ten years doing SERVERS/DESKTOP/LAPTOP/BLACKBERRY/ Jack of all IT trades kind of thing going on where I am.

I was almost considering switching to a trade. But around here there are tons so getting a job is hard. SO another thought was to get into SQL Server Admin/ ERP in a bigger way. I have been learning as much as I can and doing tasks on our DB’s as much as we can. Service done inside is better then on the outside and saves money.

Thats a good point. I work with SQL allot in my day to day stuff but nothing with allot of depth. Updates, Inserts, deletes, and data queries. It would be interesting to get more in depth. It seems to have the right balance of coding and support. Plus I have access to a full QA enviroment in which to make mistakes and play around in.

So a well meaning trainer told me at the gym yesterday that it was a good thing I lost the weight and gave up the heavy lifting because I was getting older and older people need to not push it as much. (Things wearing out you know) I told her she was full of shit and that I didn’t “Give up” on the heavy lifting, just changed the goal for a little while.

Yes an untrained person should work them selfs slowly into a lifting program but to avoid pushing your body to it’s limits is a waste of time in the gym. When my 70 year old father started lifting he totally reshaped his body and was making significant gains because he was busting his ass in the gym. He started wearing sleeveless T shirts, it was awesome. I also told her to look up Bob Young’s last dead lift attempt on the inner webs. I think he pulled over 600 in his mid 60’s.

I may not be as good as I once was but I am as good once as I ever was!

Also with most RDB’s you can export to a flat file and rebuild on another server and mess around with live data and the environment it hosted in as well.

Also learning business logic and reporting is where its at now as well. As long as the upper management can’t write there own reports you will always have a job.

BOOM…Goal reached!!!

Now to figure out… What’s Next???

congrats. but I would think my question would be what’s first? i.e. double cheeseburger, fries, shake, or pizza followed by ice cream?

seriously great work here, will use you for motivation on my next diet endeavor

Well done!

Congrats, Colin!

Thanks All! I really appreacaite all the support I draw from you guys!

Bump this up, I posted a thread in performance photo’s and wanted to make it easier to find.

Lookin good old man!

Doing Roman’s superhero workout for the next month or so to try and stable out my metabolism from the fat loss. Then thinking about going back to a ME/DE 4 day split with a extra HiTT session thrown in somewhere. Ease myself into a nice clean bulk while starting back into lifting of heavy things.
