A Good Bulking Cycle

I’m debating, yesterday I was able to eat and keep down solid food. I have been drinking a lot of water still have some of my size gains. I have only done 5 IMs in 11 days.

Hypothetically, if I were to restart this cycle at a later time, (the exact same cycle + EQ) how long would I need to take off to get my body back to normal?

Basically I feel that between the weight and time lost I have set myself back several weeks in the cycle already. I would rather have a solid go at it even if it means holding off for a little longer.

Rather than take say 3-4 weeks off and start again I would just extend what you are currently doing another couple weeks instead.

Rather than wait and go through the frist initial water and slight bloat gain that has come in the first two weeks.

You will already be supressed at least to some extent at the current time. May as well keep the current cycle going.

Someone else may have a more technical response as Im still learning that end a bit as well.

2thepain, I had horrible food poisoning around the second week of my cycle, when I had already gained about 12lbs. I had diarrhea shits about 12 times a day, literally having to get up at night 3 to 4 times to go piss out of my ass. I was so, so pissed off that I was going to lose all my gains. On top of that, I couldn’t train for a number of days. I went ahead and stuck with it anyway, got back into the gym when I was semi-recovered, and, a week later, I actually weighed 1lb more than before the poisoning.

If you can eat by now, I would stick with it.

Great thread, btw. Sorry I didn’t chime in earlier.

Alright, I am eating again however I am fearful of what the scale has to say to me. I will weigh in tomorrow and see what the damage is. I will continue on with my cycle and hope for the best. I went to the gym yesterday and lifted a rather heavy back day, and it felt awesome. Heavy weight was moving fast, so although I’m sure I lost my water weight there is still a good amount of strnegth still there.

Well this sickness I got has taken a new turn, yesterday was my first good day of eating and last night I got the shits, bad. I almost didn’t do legs because I was fearful of the possible outcomes. This morning I am completly cleaned out and will not weigh just yet. I need to get properly hydrated again and then I will weigh. My hunger is back so that helps, hopefully the constant shits stop today and this flu thing has finally run its course.

Now, on to the positives. Like I said earlier I almost didn’t do legs last night because I couldn’t stop going to the bathroom. But I pushed ahead and did legs, taking a break every 30 min to avoid accidents. I was very suprised at how well my lifts felt. I was basically playing around with my weights, seeing what it felt like and did 405 rather easily. I could have went heavier but I did not feel comfortable coming out of the hole on a heavy squat last night. All other lifts went up with less effort than I expected. Even with all the shit that has happened in the last week I still managed to make good gains.

It is early in the cycle but I have already formed several opinions.

  1. the combo if test/tren/dbol is great, imagine how much strength and size I would have had by now if week three didn’t suck.
  2. I wouldn’t need as high of dosages of the three to make good gains. If I started over I would drop all three slightly and add in EQ.
  3. Tren does attack hunger in high dose situations (Hagar hit it on the head earlier). I started off fine but I now notice less hunger. However I will be adding tren to my next cutting cycle.

I will weigh in a day after I know the flu is gone.

I am too curious. My weight this morning is 236.8. In my third week of the cycle I lost 2.2 lbs. However I know that I am not properly rehydrated yet so I don’t feel too bad about the number. Hopefully next week I will be able to break the 240 mark for the first time in my life.

As far as how I feel, well I can eat good again and my other flu symptoms appear to have faded. All I have now is a stuffy nose but I think that is totally unrelated to the flu. The weather has been crazy here which always messes with my sinus.

I have another three weeks of just the test/tren and dbol and then I drop the dbol and add in insulin. I have stopped using the GHRP-6 until my caber arrives. I am now planning on buying a few extra vials and running it for 12 weeks during my test taper period.

Today I am going to train shoulders and traps. I am expecting a great workout as I am feeling better. Like I mentioned earlier I still have strong showings in the gym even when I felt like complete shit.

Good to hear that things are coming around for you. I think you passed your sickness on to me yesterday.
Made it to the gym for a good shoulder/trap and tri work out. And then it went downhill from there. Violently throwing up, slight fever and good ol pissin outta my ass. Much better today though.
Good luck to ya buddy.

Sorry to hear about your illness, disheartening I know but the way I look at it I can only get the flu once a year so knock it out this time and you will be good to go. Next year I may consider getting a flu shot.

I got my caber in over the weekend and I will begin taking it at .25mg/day. I am not 100% about the dosage so others please feel free to chime in. I am taking it for several reasons, so I can continue to use GHRP-6 without worries and also to combat the prolactin elevation caused by the tren. I should also note that I have dropped the tren dose down to 500mg/week. I am hoping this limits some of the sides I am getting, or at least stops them from getting worse.

Is it normal for the caber to taste like gasoline/everclear?

I don’t mean to be downer on this thread but I am being up front with everything. last night I pulled my right pec. I was doing my normal 5x5 at 305 and at the end on the last rep of the first set it felt almost like a spasm followed by a twinge deep into my armpit. The really frustrating part is that during that set I was thinking how easy this felt and was already debating what to bump my weight up to.
Positives, I didn’t hurt it real bad, I stopped my workout after the twinge was felt. But needless to say I will have to back off the weight next week. I am thinking of doing some high volume work until the end of the cycle. Probably some 5x12 with 1 minute rest for about 3 lifts.

I am very pissed that I will not hit my 405 bench this cycle. Out of all the lifts that was the one I was wanting the most and Honestly I wasn’t really that far away from it.

Besides for that setback my lifts are feeling great, everything is great strength wise. I just hope my weight continues to gain. I will feel great if I can hit 240 by the weekend. That would be my 4th week of cycle and I still haven’t done my insulin or IGF yet.

Yikes man, you’re catching some tough breaks right now. I wouldn’t rule out the 405 bench just yet. After all, don’t you still have something like 8 weeks left? That’s more than enough time to bounce back from this little pec incident.

I agree, but I am not sure how bad the pull is just yet. I will have a better idea after my next chest day. It is just so damn frustrating because I was again getting close to my goal. I could do 300 for 10 solid reps and without this pull there is almost no question that I could have hit 405 by the end of the cycle, now it is up in the air.

The next 24 hours are going to be very important. Since I cannot go 110% on chest right now I am pouring my focus into leg work. Tonight is legs and if this week is anything like last week I should be in for a great workout. Back pumps have become a moderate problem, ( I thought I was going to have to lay down while shoveling snow yesterday). But by adding the weight belt I think I can squat some respectable weights tonight.

Tomorrow will be my week 4 weigh in. I want to break 240 and honestly will be devastated if I don’t. Last week I lost some weight and that trend had better be reversed.

This mornings weight is 239.2. So I gained a lousy 2.4 lbs in my fourth week. Honestly, I’m not suprised. I haven’t been able to get my 6300 calories a day in like I planned. Since coming back from the flu I just really don’t feel like eating. I will stay up at night to get down a little extra but I’m still ending up around 5500.

My strength however feels great. I noticed about a 10% increase in strength across the board since I started. My squats felt very good. I did 5x5 @ 355 and will go at least 365 next week and maybe higher. I am planning on continuing normal training until the last week before my taper begins and then I will try for my new PRs.

I have 2 more weeks of test/tren/dbol and then I will add in insulin.

An interesting but welcome change has occured in my body as of late. When I gained the first 12 lbs in 2 weeks I felt bloated, I was holding some water for sure. In the last 2 weeks my weight returned to pre flu state but it was not bloat. This morning I had a six pack when I woke up. Better yet my back and shoulders still appear rather wide. So even though I am beating myself up over the lack of weight gain it appears that the weight I am gaining is of rather high quality. My strength is still rising and that is always nice to see.

Honestly if I only gain a couple pounds each week for the duration of the cycle I will not be too upset. I just want to be a solid 240 when my PCT is over.

I would like to pose a question to anyone reading this thread who has experience with insulin. Following larger injections (8iu) PWO did the insulin trigger any form of increased hunger? From what I gather the only hunger from insulin comes when someone starts to go hypo, and then it appears to mainly be a hunger for sugar. Am I correct/incorrect in my thinking?

I never noticed any increase in hunger after a pwo insulin shot. However I was eating quite a bit from about 10 mins before the shot up until a couple hours later.

I am planning a rather strict PWO and and post injection nutritional plan consisting of meals every 30min with 30g protein and 40 grams carbs per meal. Even if I’m not hungry I will still eat them as to avoid going hypo.

Legs felt great last night. I did my 5x5 squats at 365 with gas still left in the tank. Next week I am thinking either 375 or 385. After squats I did the T-Nation exercise of the week, elevated snatch grip deadlifts. 3 sets of 5 singles at 350. The weight felt easy but by the end I had a back pump like no other. I had to lay down for a little to get it to go away before I moved on with my leg day.

I weigh in tomorrow morning and had better be more than 240.

Nice to see things have turned around after that flu like crap you were going through.

Just out of curiousity, whats your age/height?
