A Dog's 531 Journey

The time is evidently not right to startup again. I have no motivation and am using every excuse to puss out. I’m not gonna sweat it and just go with the lazy flow for a few more days.[/quote]

OK buddy, time to, err, walk the dog, as it were…

Hope all is well in Soldoggyville!

Don’t know any of the technical jargon for it and don’t even know if this pertains to you but here goes. Getting ready for a competiton, lifting or other, allows us to focus our attention and we are continually visualizing the upcoming event. After the event we find ourself sometimes feeling a bit let down and with out a purpose. Kind of like coming down from an adrenalin rush. It passes.

Thanks for the thoughts guys

Harry - there has been some of that going on but mainly I’m in the middle of tearing out the kitchen cabinets and painting before the new ones get installed. Then there is painting of much of the rest of the house to get in ready to sell. Gotta split the equity as part of the divorce settlement you know…

A coworker (originally from St. Petersburg) told me a Russian joke today.

Definition of “mixed feeling”: it’s like when your mother-in-law goes over a cliff in your car.

Sometimes the journey is the important part. Other times, it’s the destination that’s important. Ohhh, waxing philosophical at 6am

I’m so sorry for you and wish you the best. Bless your heart, it must be rough.

Thanks E! (and everybody) - this is for the best. my and my sons stress levels have decreased tremendously in the month since my “ex” moved out. it’s just the work getting this house ready for market on top of an intense period at my real work coming up that is keeping me from lifting.

I’m probably going to just not even try to start up again until the new year.

Hey dog, I totally understand the need to take a break after intense preparation, as I have not set foot in taekwondo since my blackbelt 3 months ago. But keep your joints loose with light workouts so we can support each other in March, m’kay?

Wishing you well!

George…hope you get caught up enough to at least relax on Christmas. Merry Christmas, brother, and best wishes.

Time will cure all. You may have to just go throught the motions for awhile but you’ll feel better in time. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and also that 2010 is a great year for you.

George, I hope you have a better holiday that you think you will.

have a great holiday- and Deeload!

When you’re ready to post again, we’ll be here. Enjoy the season.

Thanks for the well wishes everybody - they are much appreciated. I’ll be around …

Today my son and I celebrated Christmas a day early. We spent the day snowboarding and had a great time. A successful day of riding only ends with a few battle wounds and this was a successful day. I bruised my left knee enough to have it swell. Came home, cleaned up, went out for dinner at the local 3 Margaritas. Came home and broke all the rules by opening presents early.

Tomorrow we sleep!

Merry Christmas everybody!

Merry Christmas, George. Come the first of the year, I’m kicking the race to Salina into high gear! Fair warning.

Merry Christmas, George. 2010 will be a much better year for you.

Merry Christmas! Here’s to a great new year,

Jack

Merry Christmas George. Hope you find some joy during these tough days.

That was how we celebrated (ok, skipped the snowboard, but we had lots of blowing ice and snow and a day early). Made the season even better, all in all.

Wish you well, and hope the best for you in the future.

SD- Goats rule of snowboarding: anyday you walk off the mountain with all your limbs attached…is a great day of boarding!! I may be the poster child for train wrecks on a board! SOunds like you had a ball…Best in 2010!
