Nice benchin’ soldog! Congrats on the PR. That wider grip looks a lot more natural and it seemed to give you better stability.
you and DCA cheating with a u-tube preview! lol
Thanks!
I just happened to be on youtube looking up “Fire on the Mountain.” Clicked over and there it was…3 minutes old.
Great benchin’! I’ll try to hold my comments until you’ve posted from now on…lol.

Cycle3 Week1
Bike 10m, sh rehab, face pulls, pull aparts, dislocates, ytwli
Squats barx10x2, 115x5, 135x5, 155x5,
180x5, 205x5, 217.5x9 (fâ??n misload), 230x8
Walked out what I thought was 230 and felt unbalanced, racked it and adjusted the bar (didn’t look at the weights (stupid dipshit). Did my set and noticed the misload while unloading the bar. Said a few choice words, almost just went on to assistance work but then thought to just trade the assistance for a real set at 230.

Grip looks wider on the bench and seems to be working for you. Getting the pecs into play. All your lifts are looking good.
Thanks hel!
My pecs are more sore today than they have ever been before…

Yeah, after doing 4 days in a row a couple of weeks back, I can say I really don’t recommend it. I spent the next 4 days recovering, and was still sore well into the following week.
Congrats on the PR! 100x15 is monstrous! You’re gonna make me look bad.
Played hooky from work today and golfed with my son after his last day of summer school. Lower back has severely tightened up now. I think I’ll just take a hot shower and stretch some this evening. Deads tomorrow, hope things loosen up a bit before then…
I get the same thing. There’s a good chance the lower back tightness is caused by hip-flexors stressing out. May want to ice them or work on them with your thumbs.

Could be - but it’s also a residual from back surgery 15 years ago. Karate class started up again last night after a two week layoff, so that also added to the hip/lower back stress.
