Jeans with lycra my friend

Let’s start a thread about having a hard time finding jeans to fit our huge thighs

Have you considered a Powerlifting Brew Pub? You could have like, dollar squat nights and stuff. Brew your own:

“Deadlift Lager”
“Deep Squat Steam”
“Ass-to-Grass Amber”
“Bench Press Brown Ale”

Great work the squats are looking good!

205 raw is good, I think you will hit more pretty quickly.

Congrats on the home gym, its pretty cool.
I think the squats in jeans video made me woozy, I might need to watch it again.

I will complain about finding jeans- I prefer them dark, yet seem to only find acid wash in my midget size.

Great beer names! I would travel to Canada for those microbrews!

Sweet set-up Ouro! You are SO handy! I wish I was… but I break everything! Forget fixing it/putting it together… I have to stop breaking shit first! haha

Sweet 215 squat! A little liquid courage maybe? =D

I bet squatting in carhartts would be like an old canvas suit.

If I had huge thighs I’d take out an add in the paper to brag. Its not hard for the thighs to be snug in size 34 jeans. Its sort of like how everybody looks jacked in a medium tee shirt.

I’m just messing with you. I have skinny thighs myself. I look bigger when I wear my 9 year old daughters clothes.

I actually had an awful lot of fun yesterday setting up the garage and playing with my power tools.

Ruggerlife just left my place with a few of the plates. He hung out for a bit and showed me some cool stuff to do with the resistance bands. Right now it’s set up to bench with bands and simulate using a shirt.

I freaking heart my home gym.

you two are making me turn purple with jealousy and green with envy at the same time - NOT a pretty sight…

I’m with you SD, it puts my crappy University gym to shame.

Though the local fauna isn’t bad on the eyes.

Just so you know, the local fauna at my local home gym is pretty damn good too. Oh. Wait. That’s me. hahaha. Good thing I enjoy my own company. I just open the garage door, enjoy the beautiful sunny day and listen to the kids play out doors. I’m still in hog heaven today.

Has no one else noticed that she rocked out with tools…??

PR’s in jeans tools flip flops
I dont know OB_s you might be tearing it up all summer

I was very good today and made myself do housecleaning and some work I’d brought home before I played in the garage. Mostly I just did a few things RL had suggested.

btw Rugger, I can do face pulls from one of the big pipes in the garage very easily. I don’t have to worry about shifting the rack. They felt nice on my shoulders. I also did x band walks across the garage.

So of course I squatted again. I warmed up and did another 3 singles at 215. I’ll post a video. I think depth is a bit better but still in a grey area.

After that I tried out my wooden boxes and did light box squats up to 135. Nothing serious, I just wanted to get a feel for them.

Finally, I did reverse band bench. I did a few reps at 145 with the grey bands. We think they may be monster mini bands but aren’t sure. I tried 155 but couldn’t lock it out. I was able to lock out 150. Clearly that’s something I can work on. My new shirt will be here soon and I don’t know how much I’ll need to touch in it so I better get cracking on lock outs.

Thank you for pointing that out. I’m really quite good with my hands.

This is one of my squats at 215 today. Can anyone tell if it looks better than the one yesterday (PMPM)? For some reason, I’m crap at judging.

This is my reverse band bench.

I thought more people would notice how you rocked out.

On to the squats- I think depth on this one was deep- but im a hack, I don’t know which is more important thighs at or below parallel or hips under knees…

form is suffering a little but you are near Max effort.
looking pretty tough.
