It was actually a plastic sabre that was part of his costume. I grabbed it and started jumping on the bed pretending to be a ninja/pirate and I broke it on something. Quite sad really.

I just noticed that meat uses a long handled brush- to get that smooth felling, nice,
and he is still strong.

If you saw my facebook status from a few weeks back you’d have seen that I’m missing about 10-15 DVDs even though I have the cases. MM is one of them. I’m going to go on a hunt though because also missing is ‘How to lose a guy in 10 days’ and frankly, that’s one of my fave movies of all time.

When I find it I will put it in my gym bag so keep asking me when you see me.

I ran into my nameless boyfriend tonight and had a bit of a chat. Frankly, I believe he sports wood for you my dear. He kept talking about you and calling you a beast. I don’t think he meant ugly, gross beast. More like, I want her to squat on my face beast. I could be wrong though. I have been before.

By the way, nice new avatar. I often have this site on my computer at work. My students, teenage criminals each and every one of them, are amazed when they see your picture and I tell them what you can lift. Don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing.

Between set 1 and 2 I had a longish break as I chatted with my boyfriend (Mr. no name) and listened to him verbally spank over Court. It was great.

Wow. That’s very nice to hear. I think it’s a good thing. People have stereotypes in their heads about women that lift. I think all of us here would dispel most of them.

Next meet is the Ottawa open mid July. After that is Worlds in September/October.

I’m starting maximum strength next week to gear up for Ottawa. I don’t know what my goals are for this next meet. For now, I suppose it will be to get in there and do what I know I can do.

Squat: 275-280lbs
Bench: 135-140lbs
Deadlift: 309-313 lbs

So far maxes have been

Squat/Gym: 275
Bench/Gym: 140
Deadlift/Meet: 286 (but 1" from lockout on 309)

It’s all doable and I should have done it in Moosejaw. I"ll still be competing at 56lg (123lbs) with a less fat but more muscular butt :slight_smile:

I use a clean grip for front squats. Ddot says I can do that because I don’t have really, really big biceps like he does.

Sorry about the sadness over my boyfriend. What would be equally interesting is if he knew he was my boyfriend. I ran into him about a month ago when I was with Court. I had to do a double take because he is the image of an old boyfriend. Sad for me that he’s married.

I’m really not certain if the last set was 12 because I was listening to my no-name boyfriend tell me about how he shaves his entire body but won’t wax because it would hurt too much. He said he’d rather be hit in the face than wax. I told him I’d punch him in the face and then quickly rip his hair out. I think he liked that.

This evening I went out for a birthday dinner with my daughter and when I got home there was a message from a local lifter. One of the women competing in the same meet as Ruggerlife had her car stolen last night with all her gear in it. She’s in my weight class. In fact, she’s one of two other women in the country in my age/weight class. I’m loaning her all my gear for the meet tomorrow. She just left with my squat suit, belt and wraps. Court will bring my shirt with her tomorrow.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for her.
