Nice last few workouts.
I read the cressey book -maximum strength
at a book store I should have bought it.
I want to read how you do.
Bulgarians splits are one of my favorites-
I have been trainng with out a rack unil this past week, for a YEAR, yes a low point
but it made the BSS a staple.
I am avidly following the state of your ass.

The last few work outs have been kindly provided by Ddot76 who, no doubt, is getting sick of all my questions.
Having spent the last year or so training power lifting I thought I was pretty hard or getting there but these workouts have kicked my ass.
I’m looking forward to the rest provided by some heavy squats at lower volume but I think I’ll be keeping quite a bit of this in the assistance rotation.
I think I like the GHRs and snatch grip deads the best. I think I hate the leg press the most.[/quote]
Have you decided what you’re doing in terms of PL’ing?
PS: I don’t mind the questions at all.

I’m going to carry on with the current routine for the next week or two following chiros advice. After that I think I’ll try maximum strength.
I’m leaning toward the Ottawa open. For mental reasons I don’t think I could go six months without competing before doing a major meet. I’ll have to see how my body is holding out.
One of the reasons I want to do that meet is purely social. It’s a big one that everyone goes to and will be a shit ton of fun. Maybe I’ll just go hang out.

I’m so excited that you are doing Maximum Strength. I can’t wait to see how you like it and your results!
ouro, if I get a foot cramp doing a leg press I set the slide and then put the balls of my feet on the bottom of the sled as if I am going to do some calf raises, but instead I stretch the bottom of my foot and it seems to help.

You just want to see me fail
I should have the book shortly. I just don’t want to have to think too much.
Did you see my super broad jump numbers?

That’s good advice. I’ve never used it before and my feet were screaming at me. It’s funny when things we never expect affect us like that.

NO!!! If you fail it will look like I faked my results!
What was your broad jump, I didn’t see it?

Testing broad jump for fun was my easter sunday celebration.
I did it on my diningroom floor in barefeet so I don’t know if that makes a difference. I tested 3 times
#1 5’10"
#2 6’ 7"
#3 5’ 8" (this one kind of crapped out)

Court kept distracting me. She was saying she was spotting my squats but she’s on some sort of major t-booster and I think she just wanted to touch me.
I almost forgot, I’ve got the ball rolling to get my shit together to compete at Worlds this year.
Since I won my weight class, I automatically qualify. I have to contact a guy out west, put down some cash and get things moving along.
That’s the big meet I’ve been alluding to doing in the fall. Master’s is the end of September/beginning of October in the Czech Republic.
This is one of the reasons that I was disappointed with my performance at Nationals. Physically I can do it and should have gotten my master’s total but my brain was a bit of a mess. However, as was pointed out more than once, it was my first nationals and it’s a different ball game. Between now and then, I think my head needs more work than my lifts. Of course I want to get them as high as I can but my real challenge is my head.

Any chance Court remembered to bring her video camera today?
That could pay for the Worlds.

I suppose but it wouldn’t be a good as the head pushing one. Lesbian power lifters. bow chika wow wow
Also, RL, let me know how you make out this weekend with squats. I really wish I were going to the meet. It would be nice to give you a smack in the head to help focus ![]()

I’ll let you know tomorrow night.
For future reference, if you ever intend to smack me on the head I recommend a closed fist, an elbow or an inanimate object…I’m rather thick headed. ![]()

Hey thanks, I am an inquisitive type.
really I enjoy reading the womens training- your busting your ass.
I think lots of people sweeten up their logs.
I Love love snatch grip deads- I have long arms and short legs.
I am really thinking of P-lifting to give my training a focus
Maximum strenght is where I might be headed too.
+10 on the leg press, I dont get it either.

What do you mean by people sweetening their logs? Like posting naked pictures? Are you suggesting that’s what we should do?
You should get into powerlifting. I found once I had meets to train for and specific goals I wanted to reach for those meets, training became a lot more focused and fun.
It was one thing to get a PR in the gym. It’s another thing entirely to get it on the platform. I’m sure other powerlifters will agree that it is a freaking amazing high.
Yeah, leg prss, bleah. I will carry on with it for a while longer because no doubt it’s hitting stuff that hasn’t been in a while.

Yes Naked pics please.
I mean exaggeration there are plenty of logs in the training logs section that seem too amazing to be true, less so in over 35 and far less so here.
I try to avoid the competition thing- I am very competitive, but its hard to do so it is not easy to throttle down or train sensibly
I played Judo, and wrestled in college and post college, and was happy for a while to not be competing.
I love to train, squat, and deadlift, but detest the bench press-
so I would have to work on that.
