you two are getting me anxious and feeling like I want to go find a PL club to train at RIGHT NOW! I have so much crap to do before I even think about it though…school, kids, losing weight,…how do you do it?
I neglect my kids.
Seriously though, I have two kids and a full time job. It isn’t that hard to fit this in because it’s a priority for me. I live a very plain life and have pared it down so I have no trouble fitting this in.
My sister sometimes says things like I wish I had time for…(whatever) but she spends time doing things like decorating her house. I don’t. I choose to do this. Everyone has different things they focus on at any given time.
I never really had my own thing that I felt so strongly about until I started this a year and a half ago. I just supported everyone else in their things. I love the way I feel about it so I will do what I need to do to succeed.
And I neglect my kids ![]()
You gave me a nice little laugh. Thank you! My husband and I think of gym times like brushing our teeth or showering. We just do it. We do it instead of cleaning or tv time. Once its scheduled you’ll never think about it.
Oh I feel like I neglect my little one. I cried one day and my hubby laughed at me
After working 10 hrs then 1-2 hrs in the gym I feel like she will forget me. Oh well good for her good for me. I too neglect my child ![]()
I actually do feel a bit guilty about leaving my kids alone when I train but my older daughter is in high school. It’s more that I feel like I should be spending that time with them. Then I give my head a shake. I think I’m setting a better example for them by pursuing something that is very important to me.
Also, I don’t think it hurts them one iota that they have jobs to do while I’m out. Next week they can steam clean the carpets.
oh man you crack me up. my little one is too little to have chores yet… she terrizies the gym for now! they get to watch her grow up.
I am glad someone feels like its better to set an example. I feel guilty a lot but my mom told me i am setting a healthy life style!!
You are doing really great! I wish I could do a weighted dip… You keep me inspired. keep it up![/quote]
Thanks very much for the kind words. I think I should qualify my dip information though. They aren’t proper dips. I have my feet elevated with a weight in my lap. I have no where to do proper dips. If I had to guess, I couldn’t do a ton of proper body weight ones. I can do weighted chins though. Does that count for anything?
