I’m back! And feeling like a fat sack of shit, due to the only 2 food groups in Scotland being fried and carbs. I have given myself a mini-target of the 7th of July (18 days) to be back to awesome again - drop 10lbs and have at least 2 new PRs.

Clean+press went from 60kg x10 up to 75kg 3x1 and back to 60kg x8, also reminded me as to why I don’t clean and press anymore - these bars are shit and bent. the one i used today had the sleeves bent in opposite directions!

DB snatch 40kg x3, 50kg 3x1

will be doing 50 pullups and something else physical later this evening

Not bad for the first time back from a week off, but thats not saying much. We were in the car for an average of 4 hours a day up in scotland - takes ages to get anywhere, and its a 12 drive to and from. My lower back is sore and tight as hell.

Morning was hectic, but managed to get a bowl of rice down me before setting out.

Prowler sprint x2 - ground was too soft after yesterdays rain, making the sled dig right in.
However, had a brainwave - weighted carries with the 30kg KB i use with the prowler! feel like an idiot for not thinking of this before, can even do them in the rain. They kick ass - abs and serious cardio when carried in the rack position

Sadiv Deadlift 10mins 185kg x20 - good stuff, basically 4x5

Back Squat 65kg x10, 85kg x10, 105kg x5, 125kg x5, 145kg x10 - just greasing the groove after two weeks of fuck all. For was spot on and I was flexible enough to scratch my sphincter on the floor. which meant i hit the fixed safety bars every fucking rep.

Pin wheel curls and R grip BB curls - want a ridiculous out-of proportion forearm-to-upper arm ratio
not much strength lost over the holiday, good session

Back Squat: worked up to 160kg x8 - good form, joints felt like silk today, great feeling

got my pressing mojo back, even with a knackered lower back from work (didn’t finish till 8.30pm yesterday!)

Clean+Press, worked up to an easy 80kg x1 with 20 sec lockout, then 60kg x10, 70kg 2x3 + last 20 sec lockout

Fat grip DB clean press 30kg x10, 35kg x5 - planted my feet and didnt move till the reps were done.
calves were really pumped after this

Can’t be arsed to do anything today after work. but my rear and lateral delts are sore for the first time in YEARS! i think it was the combination of the OHP lockout holds and the fat grip DB cleans
