A Breath and a Scream

I’d nod but I’m not sure my weight range is considered ā€œheavyā€ for ya ;)[/quote]

She was overhead pressing the 20s. Little girl, but heavy weight for her and appropriate intensity.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Alright, so I’m feeling cheery and up for an update.

Where have I been?

Well, in the gym! Six days a week, three weights and three cardio. I’ve cleaned up my diet - by no means is it strict, but it isn’t takeout and beer every night. The weight is coming off - s-l-o-w-l-y. I just realized that I was completely in a standstill, both in terms of weights and of weight, and I was sick of it.

I’m not going for 1RMs. Hell, I’m not even barbell benching, back squatting, or fully deadlifting. But I’m feeling good, and I’m being much nicer to my body than I had been.

I tried out roller derby last night. It is a hell of a cardio workout. Also, I’m bruised to hell. Pretty sure I don’t have a concussion…

Was just thinking about you yesterday.

So no powerlifting meets in the near future, I’m guessing? Are you going to stay with the strongman?

Roller derby really appeals to me too. Isn’t that funny?

You’d be one of the quick little ones. I’m one of the blocker types.

I don’t know. Not sure if I’ll be in town for the March or the May meets right now. Maybe July?

I always thought roller derby sounded like fun too.

glad to find you in a good spot pmpm.

Heh. I have bruises on my PALMS. I thought I smeared mascara on my left palm when I washed my face last night…nope, just a bruise.

Last night I still did my cardio bunny shit. Tonight I’m doing chest and back…we’ll see if I can do anything at all with my back. Still all nice and paralyzed.

I think derby would suit a lot of the women here. The ā€œprosā€ have huge skater donks, I bet they’d be great squatters.

Hey was just thinking of you too-

glad you are back to training

I work with two food stylists at Foodnetwork who are part of a Roller derby team-
semi pro they love it too.

I know someone (not well, but she’s one of the coaster crew) who does roller derby. Looks like fun. Painful fun, but fun.

Lol @ skater donks! I want, please.

My derby name: MizzFit (hey, hey now!)

Glad to hear things are going well!

 Love!!! I love hearing about you!! :)!!!

DERBY!!! :)!

Roller Derby? 0_0
I was tempted to go for a try out 2 years ago(there are a few teams here in the Fraser Valley) but then I remembered I used to pro wrestle and falling down sucks. FTS I paid my crazy person dues and concussions suck. lol

But YES it sounds like fun! Will there be vids and pics of you knocking people down?

I don’t usually find the bacon pics in my google images since you changed your avi, but every once in a while… 0_0

Ditched derby yesterday, after spending three hours trying to get home from the airport, murdering a bunny in the attempt. Was exhausted, after my work conference in CA. BUT I ate properly, and trained according to plan. Only thing was I didn’t DRINK properly…oh well…

The Glitterdome is on 36th and Wynkoop in a big yellow warehouse. Drop in derby is from 6-9 on Sundays. $10 to skate, rent equipment for $5.

Drop in derby!? Must watch at least. I’d be a jammer!
