A Breath and a Scream

Box squats to legal depth. Pause on box, relax hips, then (try to) explode.

8x45, 8x95, 5x3x135, 3x185, 5x1x225 (belt on last 4)
good mornings 5x6x135.

Somehow fucking the bar sounds more appealing to me than humping it. I know this makes no sense, but thanks for the turn of phrase.

Nice work. If I tried to ‘good morning’ 135, it would be a very rapid descent to the floor!

I can’t even begin to imagine what a 419 squat would feel like…dayum!!

PPME, congrats on the last meet total.
I got a King Deadlifter and I regretted it as soon as I pulled a couple of times.
They know the suits, they just seem to stretch so much.

I am looking forward to the updates. Strong is strong. You are one strong lady, and I like it.

Humping it sounds like a sad sixteen year old. Fucking the bar sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon.

You’re going to bust that 1,000 like its nothing.

We all want to grow up and be PMPM and throw numbers around like 419.

It sounds like 1,000 is achievable for you; could have been at this last meet. You’ve given a lot of thought about what you need to hit and tweak to get there. That’s about 14kg over what you just got isn’t it? Pffft. That’s just one missed lift.

You know what I noticed looked at your attempts? You open squat at about your third on deadlift. I open deadlift at about my third on squat. I’d love to squat what I pull.

That’s an interesting observation. And I’m exactly like you in this regard, O. My max squat at my last meet was less than my opening DL. I guess it comes down to personal strengths.

I’m super-late to the party, but CONGRATULATIONS on your meet numbers!! Your strength is just mind-boggling.

That wedding sounds amazing, btw.

Too funny, this morning as I was putting on my makeup, I was literally thinking “Fucking pathetic, your squat opener is better than your best meet deadlift…”

Teehee.

Squat–bring in your feet when you take it out the rack, better balance and control…
Bench Press–train all nonshirted work with a closer grip to protect your shoulders and hammer your triceps, and alot of upper back work…cleans, rows, shrugs
Deadlift–bring your stance in a little bit on either side, as wide as you are you cant get as much pop out of your hips in the bottom, and you cant fuck the bar as violently

the first few thoughts.

I tried bringing my stance in while unracking the bar the other day for box squats, and felt very tippity. Might have brought it in too far. It’s always different raw v. equipped. I’ll work on video.

Be sure you take your time when you take out the squat…get your hips under you, tighten up and stand, then pause for a second and let the bar settle into your back…then take your steps and settle again. If you remember I kept telling wade and the others “take your time, and get comfrotable”

Remember the tune, “Baby we can do it, take your time, do it right, we can do it baby,do it tonight.”

Remember watching me squat in the back…everything was slow and deliberate up until the actual squat…use your whole minute

Tippity is a good adjective. I’ve been working on heavier walkouts/power curtsys up to 425 and I struggle with how to get my feet set wide after walking back. Much harder for me though is getting them back in again to re-rack with that amount of weight on me. Could have gone from tippity to shitting me.

Did you and Firebug both get gold in PR or does my reading comprehension suck?

Yeah, she was a 90, I was 82.5. It was a good meet, and I guess I’ve got #8 on the PLWatch rankings now, but I’m still 2 under a 400 Wilks.

I read the write up on Powerlifting watch. I had to read it a few times to understand what they were saying. I do better with pure numbers. Regardless, that is totally kick ass for both of you. Congratulations.

How do you access the rankings pages. My access is denied.

You have to subscribe, it’s like $12 a year or something. I just was basing my “#8” on the write up.
