I used to consider Benedikt Magnusson’s 1015 deadlift as the best lift, but this is just unreal. Amazing strength. He’s even a relatively smaller guy. Unbelievable. Amazing lifts.
Struck me too that he didn’t look as hooge as some of the guys. Not saying he is small or anything just not the mammoth I expected. Must have some insanely well placed tendon and ligament insertions.
Yeah he’s a 308. There are of course much heavier lifters out there who he’s majorly outsquatting.

Best lifts ever imo:
Coan’s 901 @ 220
Magnusson’s 1015

Whatever Malanichev squats at his upcoming meet is sure to get on that list; maybe even the very top.

That’s insane. His raw strength is just fucking insane. And to me, it looks like his gets less than 50 pounds of his squat suit, which is just plain wrong.
Wait, what? you mean gear doesn’t add 500# to ones squat? how can that be? lmao.

geared or not, that is a great squat no matter how you slice it.
single ply walked out…is a little different to multiply in a monolift…
The only difference is that the single-ply stretches out faster. Splitting hairs between the carryover from multi vs carryover from single is a joke nowadays
single ply today is definitely very strong but still nobodies getting 400+ out of it like multiply

Agreed. It’s crazy to say that a 308lb man isn’t that big but in the world of powerlifting and strongman its true. I can’t even begin to imagine how many injuries and setbacks he’s probably had to get to this point. Amazing mental and physical strength.

Agreed, but I think Hoornstra’s 661 @242 should be added.

Lamar Gant too.

Nera squatting 715 @ 220, Raw, and pretty much Oly style, then see him do 13 muscle ups, and a full crossfit workout including handstand pushups. This blows my mind !

lots of great squatting recently…

716.5 @ 179.5

I thought about throwing that one in here yesterday Duce.

Here’s his double with 693

Insane squatting… I still don’t understand how Nikulin keeps the bar on his back and doesn’t break his wrists off.
