91 Year Old: 286 DL at Full Meet

Not that the numbers themselves matter, but he also got a 143 squat and 154 bench.

Kind of puts people who complain about not being able to hit depth in perspective.

very cool

10/10 would great grandpa

LOL! I fucking love the sit down after the deadlift. What a fantastic pull for a man anywhere close to his age.

Freaking AWESOME! At 45 years old, I already think about my “later” years, and it is my sincere hope to still be active and relatively virile. It is one of the things that motivates me to train intelligently now.

Shittttt, you gotta beat the odds just to make it to 91. Let alone be powerlifting at that age!

I hope I’m not drooling all over my over medicated self at 91…

I think that’s how I am going to start backing away from the bar after a dead. Seems like a pretty solid idea.

Yea I’m just going to stick to my hopes that I don’t need someone to push around my wheelchair and wipe my ass when (if) I get to be that old lol no real words to describe this though besides inspiring

So true. I love how the spotter was there to catch him too. And I agree, this is beyond impressive.

That was great. Truly inspirational.

So true!
Sitting here thinking about all the people I have known who didn’t make it past 50 because of, mostly disease.

That’s my future self in 36 years. It was video taped and sent back to the present. I’m not sure why I changed my name to Svend, but I like it!

That is so great.

I will be thinking about it tonight when I deadlift.

I know so many men with bad backs that are 40 or 50 who could not lift half that.

Totally epic, but I’d get thrown out of the place for yelling, “it’s go time!” Everytime he hit the platform.

He is the man. He really is the fucking man. I am NEVER gonna complain again about my morning aches anymore lol.

That’s allowed if he’s wearing a ‘world’s greatest dad’ shirt.
