If you go to a Taipei night market on a rainy night it feels like you’re in Blade Runner!

I live in Taipei, Taiwan and I know where that 7-11 is that he had his post-workout meal.

I will go there and camp out…waiting.

But if you see me next to Frank and then the “Bulking is Bad” nutbars will be able to use me as evidence to support their side.

Better I stay home I guess.

Though I 'd love to meet up with Frank and go to a few restaurants. It would certainly make an interesting video.
But no night market! Well, I can eat some of that, but draw the line at chicken uterus on a stick.
It would be fun if we can make a training video sometime in the future and hit the night market straight afterwards.
What do you eat in Taiwan man?
night market is the heaven for the cheap and dirty bulkers.
I’d feel very shy to train with you…I can’t DB shoulder press 100s and I outweigh you by an embarrassing amount.

I will climb Taipei 101 next month, that’s the coolest thing I’ll be doing.

I eat street food for breakfast, and haven’t been in a night market for a long time. I go to hotpots and eat a lot. usually too much ice cream.
My girlfriend is a great cook and makes all kinds of great food.
Where do you train now? Did you ever check out the gym in TPEC?
T-Nation needs more people from Taiwan

you have great conditioning

i ran 20 rep squats with back squats and the sets took me like 2 minutes to go through and i couldn’t breathe

can’t imagine doing it with front squats, i’d pass out from lack of oxygen

Happy ending?

Why the Hell were your shoes in your mouth?!? If you can afford 3 maids with forks to scratch your back you can just get a mouth guard…

One mouthguard actually costs three maids. I would make the same choice.

Once your fat cells are full they create new cells, basic biology. When losing fat, your cells drain oils not destroy cells, again basic biology.
Basic biology is that you have billions of fat cells that are not all filled up completely. Gaining weight does not mean new fat cells were created. You will pretty much have the same general number of fat cells for life barring extreme circumstances.
I’m actually glad you posted all 3 sites, as I didn’t feel like googling it. While I would not expect you to see anything beyond what you want to see, I’m sure all the others can clearly see that the results are stating what I said. The reports you listed all test for LOSING weight. In that when you reduce, you DON’T lose fat cells. While studies regarding gaining weight clearly show fat cells can be created.

— From your same site BBC NEWS | Health | Belly fat 'makes more fat cells'

So putting the two together for all those that look at it as is.

Gain fat = increased fat cell size + new Fat cells
Lose Weight = reduced fat cell size

Why gain UNNECESSARY fat cells? When most people’s goal is to gain muscle not fat?

This is irrelevant unless I have a twin who didn’t bulk up. What would someone else with different genetics have to do with me? Why would it matter if some other guy could build even more muscle mass leaner? The goal is for ME to reach and extreme level of size, not someone else. I already know there are people with better genetics than me. That’s the point. I still got big and was not some genetic freak.
It’s not relevant if all you care about is you and gaining muscle. It is relevant when you want to use yourself as an example of how maximum calories still made you big. It’s been clear for over 40 years that bulking and cutting works to gain size, but fortunately bodybuilding as with the rest of life has evolved and now it’s understood that people don’t have to bulk at a maximum with complete disregard for calories and fat gain.

Now people came appear bigger and in better condition if they choose to. There are cars from 1970 that can still speed by 95% of cars today, doesn’t mean they’re better then the 5% of cars that choose to use all the advances since then aren’t much better.

That was one of the funnier things I’ve seen. Pretty hilarious really.

I can go to all branches of World Gym. Yesterday I went to the Tien Mu one.

I remember you telling me about TPEC, and that to get in I should pretend to be a professor or something…ha ha.
But that does look like a great weight room. Lots of room and well lit. You’ve likely seen a World Gym here…dark, with spotlights and neon and I know they won’t play my kind of music, but they play it too loud and this is at 7AM.

It’s hard to surpass a 40 inch vertical, so I figure I would move onto something else to conquer.

Yeah! I’ve seen him there too…I almost went up to him and asked to take a picture. I guess that was about 4 or 5 years ago.

I saw Xiao S at the Tong Lin one a few years ago too. She’s a cutie.
