75/85

Anyone else working this programming?

I started it today.

Well, no responses so I’m gonna assume many if not all are not doing or have tried it.

I have a meet April 5th. I’m gonna use the 75/85 and see what kind of progress I make. I’ll report back later.

Thanks.

I did it for a while as sort of a long deload. I probably can’t speak for the effectiveness of it since I was only training 2 days a week doing each lift twice a month.

As a volume program, you probably have to do each lift at least once a week for it to be effective since the intensity is lacking. Two times a week would probably be even better(maybe even 3 for squat/bench). It was good for technique practice and super simple, but I like 531 a lot more.

What template do you plan on using for it?

This basically looks like a sheikoesque type of program. I thibk you really need to be experienced with training before embarking on this because you have to know how much volume is the right amount.

You’ll make steady progress. Just bust your tail and believe in the process.

Yea, I agree w/ that.

I’ve been training almost 4 years now and have a pretty good idea of how my body reacts to training. I want to run this to keep myself in check and trust in the work because too often I just wanna go heavy every time. I most of all, BELIEVE that this will work well and keep building strength. Believing something will work is half the battle w/ me. I have some experience w/ knock off Sheiko programs but this allows more autoregulation and not being coached by Sheiko himself. I liked the volume of Sheiko, just got tired of swapping plates all the time.

The plan is to bench/squat on Mondays/Fridays and pull on Wednesdays to start.

Keep us informed - I have been spying on that one too. It looks cool.

Will do.
