6 Week Mass

i’m trying to switch up my training b/c i’ve been diong westside for the past 3 months and have been getting pretty good results. the first six weeks of summer i will be taking summer classes and i wanted to put on some mass before i start training with some strength coaches so i came up with this (just an example of a bench workout)
week 1
flat bench 5x10 super setted with 20 pushups
wk 2
incline 10x3 80%
wk 3
bench 5x10 s.s. with 20 pushups

and they alternate for 6 weeks like this. what do you guys think of it?
thanks

Is like once/week or on some sort of split where you might hit it twice in a 7 day period? What’s your goal with this one, is it just for a change…something different? If so, I don’t see any harm in it.

All in all, I wouldn’t call it “optimal” for my own goals, but depending on yours it could certainly do some good.

However, there are plenty of good ones in the archives for a quick change-of-pace from Westside. Also, I’ve had good results with Dr. Squat’s (Fred Hatfield) “Conditioning tips for powerlifters” (a.k.a. 80 day PL routine).

Just a thought.

Matt

Why change programs if it is working? Did I miss something?

Since you got good results with the WestSide template, why change?

Stick to WestSide but up the reps on ME days to 3 or 5rm. The assistence work should be enough for serious growth.

Remember to eat, that’s more important than what program you’re using.
