Is your daughter going to UT?
[/quote]

She’s going to UT-Chattanooga; she just felt that she had to get away from Knoxville.

We’ll definitely have to introduce ourselves to each other @ the Worlds.

Friday morning session:

Barbell Squat:
45 x 5
135 x 5
160 x 5
205 x 5
245 x 5
320 x 5
340 x 7

Body Weight Glute Hamstring Raise:
10

Heavy deadlift night:

Squats:
45 x 5 (2)
135 x 5
160 x 5
205 x 5
245 x 5

Deadlifts:
135 x 5
205 x 5
255 x 5
305 x 5 (2)*
385 x 5
410 x 5
435 x 1

*My heavy deadlift days are cursed. Last week was the Spaghetti Incident, and this week my dementia kicked in. I was showing off for my wife (she literally gave me the “you’re so big and strong” line) and I forgot to go up from 305; wound up doing two sets and I’m blaming that for only getting one @ 435.

GHRs:
BW x 10 (5) - These are getting easier

It’s heavy week!

Barbell Squat:
45 x 5
135 x 5
160 x 5
205 x 5
245 x 5
Barbell Bench Press:
45 x 10
135 x 5
155 x 5
190 x 5
225 x 5
275 x 2
320 x 5
340 x 3
360 x 1

Unracked 380, got it 5 inches off my chest, and it came crashing back down.

On a different tip, got my weightlifting shoes today. They made a big difference on squats and a HUGE difference on leg drive while benching.

Holy $*@&!! Are you posting from intensive care?

Oh no, I’m good; safety stands caught the weight. Thanks for the concern though

Joe, shush up! No more negative thoughts! We need to get a pic of T Nation at the meet too.

Lin rose, you have a gar at home?

LilPower, I hate to sound dim, but I’m not sure what you’re asking me

SQUAT NIGHT! SQUAT NIGHT!

5 min on the bike to warm up

45 lb x 5
135 lb x 5
160 lb x 5
205 lb x 5
245 lb x 5
315 lb x 1
340 lb x 5
360 lb x 3
380 lb x 1
405 lb x 1

455 was on the rack, my mind was right, and my wife came out to the garage in her undergarments to ask what i wanted for dinner. concentration lost :).

I finished up with Waterbury LiveSpill tip Wednesday - 3 minutes on the exercise bike @ max resistance.

That was supposed to be was ghr, and and I’m not sure she wanted you to.finished. up on the bike

Yup, got a GHR from Dynabody in Maryville a while back. Got a used one for $125.

And I am horrible at taking hints, but fortunately she didn’t hold it against me

Last heavy day this 531 cycle:

5 minutes on cycle

Squat:
135 x 5
160 x 5
205 x 5
245 x 5

Deadlift:
135 x 5
205 x 5
255 x 5
315 x 3
365 x 3
405 x 2
455 x 1

GHRs: BW x 10, 5 sets

3 minutes on cycle at full resistance

Observations from this cycle -
Happy with squat and bench, kept finding ways to sabotage deads, and totally left out OH press work. Gonna have to go back to 4 days a week, but I think I’ll keep the squatting every session.

You’ll have to forgive my lack of social skills and having not welcomed you on your arrival. You are putting up some good numbers. I’m right on the Alabama/Tennessee border. Powerliftings not one of my sports but I may yet see you at one of the meets up there.

Thanks for the welcome; hope to meet you sometime

Bench deload:
135 x 5
150 x 5
190 x 5
225 x 5

A little time on the bike and a couple of TGU’s; nothing to see here citizens…

Enjoying reading you log good sir!

Thank you for the kind words

Squat deload

135 x 5
160 x 5
205 x 5
245 x 5
BW x 50

Light weights, and yet I feel that I’m going to pay for this later in the day because I was running late and half-assed my already half-assed warm-up. This getting old can be bothersome at times.

Didn’t bother posting the rest of my deload week, and thanks to my offspring, Labor Day weekend was a bust, so I’m just getting back into the swing of things. Today’s session split in two; here’s the first half:

Squat:
135 x 5
165 x 5
205 x 5
245 x 5

Bench:
45 x 10
135 x 5
155 x 5
190 x 5
230 x 5
305 x 3
325 x 3
345 x 3
365 x 1

Ran out of time this morning, so assistance work gets done tonight. It just hit me January is not far off, so if I’m gonna get better, I need to kick it into gear
