Good lifting in here.
Those are good knee sleeves, I have a pair. Also the Rehband ones are awesome, you can get them here: http://www.jackalsgym.com/store.aspx
I have Rehband knee sleeves and love them. I wrap only when I’m training for a meet and planning to compete geared. And then only for high weights. The story of the kid in the gym with the wraps is very funny.
Thanks for the knee sleeve info, definitely going to have to get some.
Led great work going on in here. I’d be WORE OUT as well!!!
I concur, good squats in here.
I too wrap my knees on the heaviest sets…but I can’t wait to get them off, to return some circulatiion. No idea how you walk around with them on.
Characters in the gym, Sweaty man, Miss Tight Pants, Half rep boy, Mirror man.
Keep up the good work!

The kid in the gym is obviously just wrapping loosely like an ace bandage. I’m even amazed when people keep their wraps on for multiple sets. I have finite time to get to the bar and get my squat(s) in after my coach wraps me or else my calves/feet go numb. Often I’m wrapped so tight I’m pretty dramatically bruised afterwards.
crazy awesome squatting brah!
Basketball for 1 1/2 hours tonite with a bunch of college kids. Surprised I felt pretty good, we’ll see what tomorrow brings.
Late to the party yet also do the Stronglifts program…keep up the great work!
Monday,Monday… Didn’t sleep too great last night, had a hard time shutting all of the coming weeks thoughts out of my mind.
Up @ 4:45, coffee, protein and out the door. Warmed up with several slow, stretching light squats, light bb rows, benches, pulldowns and light db work for the shoulders.
Week 6 5x5…everything for reps of 5
Squat: 275/ 320/ 360/ 405/ 425
Bench: 165/ 190/ 215/ 240/ 255
Row: 190/ 220/ 250/ 280/ 295
2 sets of 12 straight leg HLR’s to finish it off.
Struggled with the last set of everything, but got 'em. It’s going to be nothing but TOUGH from here on out.
Have a great day…push it right to the edge.
Good looking session. A lot of iron being moved around in there.
Wednesdays Work Week 6 Day 2
Warmed up with goblet squats, bb thrusters, light rows and shoulder work which included dislocates, followed by plenty of full body stretching. All the sets were for 5 reps.
Squat: 275/ 320/ 360/ 360
Incline Bench: 135/ 150/ 170/ 180
Deadlift: 270/ 310/ 345/ 365 (Really struggled with the last rep on this one)
Shoulder press: 120/ 135/ 150/ 155 (Struggled with last rep here as well, dropped the weight to 100 for 10 reps to finish)
I felt just tore up after the workout and still feel like I’ve been run over by a truck 7 hours later…I want a nap.
Some advice if you don’t mind. At the weights you are starting to push you might need a Deload every 5 weeks.
Or eat more and do more rehab work daily.
Thanks for the advice Fisch, I never mind getting it. I def thought something was wrong yesterday, then came the afternoon and night filled with chills, fever, aches and diarrhea, I knew I could do nothing but rest and recover. Not sure what tomorrow,(the heaviest day), will bring, or if it should even happen. I’ve only had a bit a yogurt and gatorade in the last 24 hours.
Led I’m joining you on the 5X5 program with some modifications.
I can’t do squats anymore due to back problems / shoulder issues.
Same for bent rows.
Gonna sub in leg presses and HS rows and use dumbells for my benching.
Did 1st workout today, felt good.
Feel better-rest.
your squatting is amazing
nice work
knee wrap kid must be the cousin of belt and straps kid
who wears the straps thru-out the leg extension tricep pressdown HS machine blow out

I would want to hibernate!! Helluva workout Led…dang!
WEEK 7 5x5
After being sick for 3 days last week and missing my heavy Friday workout, I had the mindset of going back and repeating the week 6 work. Didn’t make it out of bed yesterday morning in time, so I had to get it in last night after work.
Warmed up with some high rep light squats, military presses, pulldowns and benches before spending a good amount of time stretching and then onto the work. Followed week 6 on the squats and felt so good I jumped to week 7 on the last set and completed everything else on the week 7 format. What a great feeling!
Everything is for 5 reps.
Squat: 275/ 320/ 360/ 405/ 440 (NEW PR)
Bench: 165/ 195/ 220/ 245/ 260
Row: 195/ 225/ 255/ 285/ 305
Finished with 10 minutes of stretching.
Kicking Ass and taking names in here!!!
Good squattin’!
Glad you better after your cold imposed de-load.
