so if i did 5x5 with 4 exercises total(2 upper body- push , pull) and 2 lower body exercises ( some type of squat variation and a posterior chain dominant exercise). lets say for the pushing exercise i do 5 sets of overhead presses, the next time i workout should the push be something like dips, and then the next time i workout be heavy bench press variations. is this right or would i be varying it up too much? i do a max strength workout every 5 days(that 5 day cycle from never gymless)

what are you doing besides this day
Phill
the 5 day cycle i am doing which is from ross enamait’s never gymless , which he encourages to tailor to ur own needs. it goes like this
day 1 conditioning(intense 10 to 15 min.)and a 10 min. full body isometric mini workout later in the day
day 2 max strength - usually perform 3-5 reps sometimes 2 and along with this is a mini core workout(no isolation, ab wheel rollouts, plank, etc.) the core workouts are about 15 min. and are performed at a different time of day than the max strength workout
day 3 conditioning with running(band sprints) and later on in the day do a 10 min. full body isometric workout
day 4 exposive strength workout and a mini core workout performed later in the day
day 5 rest
this is one cycle i do this usually around 4 to 5 cycles in a row depending on how i feel then i take a back off week(deload cycle to let nervous system overcompensate)
i am 16 years old 5’10 and 165lbs
i play high school baseball, would somebody tell me what i need to focus on the most to help me in baseball(exercise wise not skill)
this cycle blends together several strength qualities and i have improved very much. go to www.rosstraining.com
This is a better 5x5
