Why are you going into everyone’s thread hawking Rippetoe’s program? Just wondering?

Sorry MSM another mini hijack:

I kind of wondered the same thing myself although I got the big thumbs up on my log for doing compound movements although it would have been clear to anyone that read a few pages that I’m training for a meet not doing starting strength (which I have done to good effect).

The only advice I asked for was period related and he sadly didn’t provide that. I wonder if all the guys logs are getting this input.

Sorry hijack over. Carry on with your lives

Yeah I’m so the person to give advice about periods. Sorry for giving you outdated advice; it’s not the end of the world get over it.

Yes, Vader. I have made it home although I didn’t want to come back!

My camera completely died before I went to the Convention Center but I did manage to film some of Eric’s lifts for him while he was on the platform. Unfortunately, he did hurt his back (in the warm up room) and had to withdrawal from the meet. I wish that Eric would have posted his other two squats but his third attempt:

Where do I begin? Wow, one of the most incredible weeks of my life; I was just so in my glory there and was eating it up for the whole three days. Seeing Laura Phelps and Shannon Hartnett and everyone at Elite whose logs I’ve followed forever…it was just a dream come true for me to be there.

Highlights:

-Getting to see my coach, of course! And his coach too! Hi Dave:) first and foremost. Honestly, two of the best people I have ever had the opportunity of meeting with and just full of information which was great because I am like a little sponge with them.

-Louie slugging me in the arm

-Standing next to Dave Tate and realizing how friggin huge he is

-Sitting behind Luke Edwards family when he hit his 1000# squat

-Nicest person that I met at the meet was probably Phil Harrington and let me tell you, not everyone can pull off a bright red mohawk and goatee!

There is much more but I am still so excited that I can’t think straight right now. More to come!

wow!!

You need a new camera!

Now that I am coherent enough to go through this a little more, there was a lot of action in here while I was away.

Honestly, the main reason why my log is here is for coaching purposes but I also have many friends here that like to follow along and I also appreciate any new input.

kensai01, if you think my squat sucks, check out my deadlift. Hey, I can laugh at my own expense. They are not great - yet. They are better though and next week, they will be better than that and next month…you get the picture. I test in another week; I am very uncertain as to how much that will show after 6 weeks but I know I’ll be doing an 11 week cycle after that and I think I will really have a good idea where I am after that.

I have no intentions of doing a SS program at the moment, however. The last couple of months, I’ve just fallen in love with Sheiko and plan on continuing with that program for the time being.

Don’t mess with MsM! Classiest person on T-Nation.

Form critique from strangers based on youtube videos are worth about the price paid for them. The angles are too weird and the picture too small.

I find myself warm for her form. (Being the classy guy I am).[/quote]

You’re the best;) Will you please send me some chocolate now? 0:)

Sorry if I came off harsh, I didn’t mean to imply your squat form was terrible. Have you tried messing around with high vs low bar in respect to where the bar sits on your back. I have found my form, depth and weight #'s are MUCH better when using low-bar vs when using high-bar. I can’t seem to go nowhere near as low or use as much weight when using high-bar.

Awesome stuff.

So I have to ask, what did you learn?

How’s life?

Come next year! I’m serious. I know that you’d love it.

Just stopped in to see how your training is going!

so…how is it going?

c.

Love the new avi Susan!
How are things coming along? You got to meet my coach at the meet you went to I hear.
I’m finishing week 8, so the next 4 weeks are going to be a bit easier and less volume.

Post some updates, I’d love to hear your accounts since we are following the same (similar) program, it’s nice to compare experiences.

Oh yeah, I think you had hurt your arm, are you all healed up now?
