Hi! I used to do the 2-day MMA-template and the 3-day full bodylike 5 years ago when I was doing martial arts. I have not read the Forever book since I live outside the States and there is no e-book. 5s pro and FSL 5x5 is all the rage these days from what I gather as well as leader/anchor programming.
I’m getting back into BJJ twice a week in january while doing a cut so I was wondering if it makes sense to program an anchor period while I do it. BJJ wouldn’t be too intense. Currently doing the 3-month BBB challenge and maybe Building the Monolith after it. I came up with something like this inspired by the templates I used back in the day and what I’ve read from the forum:
Bench 5s pro
Squat FSL 5x5
Pull 50 reps
Deadlift 5s pro
OHP 5s pro
Push 50 reps
Squat 5s Pro
Bench FSL 5x5
Pull 50 reps
Would it be OK to split the FSL sets and the main sets? Would it be detrimental to run the original 531 with AMRAP sets instead of 5s pro? I always liked the AMRAP sets.
