The 5x5x5 Mind Over Muscle Program

  1. Select five basic exercises for your whole body.
  2. Perform all of them five days a week, Monday through Friday.
  3. Do only one work set of five per exercise, leaving a couple of reps in the bank.
  4. Focus on staying tight, power breathing and the perfect groove.
  5. After five weeks, test your maxes and switch to a different type of routine.

I had great progress on this program. I chose squat, deadlift, bench, pull up, and military press.

I decided to focus on strength for a few weeks. I just wanted to share my results. I added 33 lbs to my bench and 44 lbs to my deadlift in just 6 weeks. I will now focus on gaining mass.

bench: 100k
squat: 140k
deadlift: 160k

After:
height: 5’9"
weight: 162 lbs
bench: 115k
squat: 152.5k
deadlift: 180k

Good progress man.

Did you experience a drop in BF% or were all your gains strength gains? Did you pack on any size?

Still, good numbers

I made some minor gains, and this is the program that really got me into training for strength, but Ive made much better gains with Westside, as well as just plain old lifting in different rep ranges.
