5 Pound Burger Challenge!

I tried it on Saturday. Got most of the fries and onion rings and a little over half the burger down before running out of time (1 hour time limit). I think if I had had A1 steak sauce (my favorite) I could have come a lot closer but the texture of the beef got to me after the first 2 pounds (got down about 2.5 pounds)… Any champion eaters out there with a way to get around the boring texture of burger patties in that quantity?

Holy crap, is it even safe to eat that much junk food?

i would probably have a go at the burger alone but not the fries and onion rings. just out of interest, how much did that ‘little’ lot cost?

What is the end result of eating that much meat in one sitting? And if your goal is to eat all of that, why on God’s green earth would you stuff yourself with fries AND onion rings prior to starting the burger(s)? Makes little sense to me.

Fries and onion rings are a part of the challange… if you failed it was like 20 bucks… My friends I was there with picked up the tab just to watch me try.

Why not see how much food you can put down occassionaly? its angus beef and very tastey so I hardly feel bad about attempting it. The fries and onion rings got eaten when I realized I could not dwal with the beef texture anymore and switched to seeing how much of them I could put away…

Dirty bulk day… almost got the 405 deadlift and the 315 front squat at 170 … so ya, it got put to good use… after my PR front squat attempt of 305 (got one !!) I did a 20 rep widowmaker of 215 front squat… I actually felt great the next day and I think most of it was due to the insane amount of beef I ate that night…

I always wanted to do a food challenge like this after lifting. I would have skipped the fries and rings though. Did they have wheat buns?

fries and rings are part of the challange, if you want to win they have to go down… and no, the buns dont come in wheat but its only one top and bottom bun, with 4 pounds of beef inbetween…

Holy fuck you can’t be serious, who gives a shit if it was a wheat bun or not. Its one meal its not like this guy is eating this everyday of the week. Its one meal its not going to kill his progress and like he stated it probably helped his process as much as anything.
