I recently found out about the 5/3/1 for powerlifting routine. I am not planning on competing anytime soon, I’m just looking to get stronger while still training like a powerlifter (singles, triples, etc.). However, I would like to compete sometime in the next year.
I have competed twice and my best meet lifts are a 292 bench, a 485 squat and a 535 deadlft.
My question is am I better off just using the basic 5/3/1 routine? Or should I try the 5/3/1 for powerlifting routine (3/5/1)?
