Lost ground on these. Might be time to do a deload like I’ve been threatening.
Zercher lift from pins (midthigh-2")
225x5
315x3
365x2
410x1,1,1
GMs
270 5x2 sets
Chest Supported DB Row
105’s 6x3 sets
Notes: OH Presses seem to be falling off cliff. Sticking point just above the eyebrows, but at a lower weight than I’ve already done. 205 push press was hard and I’ve done 220 at the same height from pins.
Zercher’s felt heavier than they should and I didn’t even want to do rows. We’ll see how I feel after weekend.
Damn, big Zerchers. 410 is huge. Also, its weird, but my presses are falling off a cliff as well, but every other lift seems to be moving steadily north. Hmmm.

I think I’ve been doing too much full range pressing. I can get away with 2 in a row and I think this was my third or close to it. Next time is a rep day or partial.

My overall experience is we expect too much from our pressing… usually at best it should make 60% of our squats/dls pound wise.+
Whew! Motivation, attitude and appetite fell off the cliff. Haven’t touched a weight in 5 days and I’m just now starting to feel like lifting again. maybe Friday.
Time to think about building deloads into the program.
PeteS - That means I should be overhead pressing 240 then. I better get to work…

Boy do I know how that feels lately. I’m sure you’ll snap out of it quick with your devotion.
Those Zerchers are nuts DCA, that’s gotta hurt even with the towel or pad your using huh?
Great lifting!

Thanks DZ.
They do smart a bit, but not enough to make me stop doing them.
I need some elbow sleeves so I can stop padding the bar and so reduce the bar diameter. The torque is always trying to straighten my arms…
Wait…You deloaded on deads with 425#?? You deload like I do…only worse :)[/quote]
Had a bit of a brain fart on those. I was figuring 80% intensity or 60% of volume but I ended up doing 80% intensity and 75% of volume because I didn’t want to unload the bar down to 320 for one damn set. I retrospect I should have. I nearly passed out after both sets as it was. Had a nice gray-out after setting the bar down.

But just 3 days a week right?
Great training as always Skid. So you trained a little harder on the de-load then you should of. I’d rather be accused of training to hard then not hard enough.

I really need to start thinking about how to bring in some passive income. Seen some ideas about creating niche informational websites that might be worth looking into. The trick lies in finding a somewhat lucrative niche. Then it’ll be 2 days of work with a flex day where I either work or play computer games all day.

Me? I’m actually looking for the laziest way to do things. If I can only train 3 or 4 hours vs 6 and get the same results or better, I’ll do it.

Hey! They split up Strength Sports into Powerlifting, Strongman and Olympic Lifting. There may be some other categories, but that’s a good move in any case.
