That song has been running through my head for days and I couldn’t identify the group. Thanks Jack.

5/3/1 Cultists.

Cultists can increase their lifts if they just use more cowbell:

You be hosting your own brand of virtual meet today.

Good luck in the meet tomorrow! I’m lifting on Sat.

Wow, its tomorrow, good luck! What are you gonna open with?

While you were living the roots of hip hop, smoking a j, wearing shiny new kicks, etc, and I was drinking beer and diving off of stages, some people here were jamming out 70s style.

DCA good luck at the meet. Haven’t stopped by in a while, good work going on here as always.

pull large, Elric of Melnibone (the original charming albino, blue oyster cult wrote a song about him)

Michael Moorcock invented him, yes? I’ve always meant to read those books.

Thanks Pete. Man, stage diving hadn’t been invented yet when I was going to concerts.

The long hair, talk of BOC…was it LSD, coke, marijuana, booze or a combo that you injested in your youth?? I liked three out of the four.

After listening to Jim Wendler talk (on Iron Radio - Attendee Portal - Instant Teleseminar ) about his early years of training 5/3/1, wherein he didn’t push the reps on the main lifts and still made a lot of progress, I’m going to do the same. The combination of pounding out reps on the main lift and pushing the assistance the way I have been is going to lead to retrogression. I’m not smart enough to stop more than 1 rep shy of failure. I’ve had about a week of lighter lifting and I’m still not fully recovered, so I’m going to ‘coast’ through the next cycle and see how I feel at the end of it.

I’ve also decided to just go ahead and start this next cycle after the this meet instead of waiting two weeks so everything coincides with the next meet in April. I’ll just let things fall where they will.
