I’ve been up all night configuring servers and questioning whether I really need a job that requires this and has the added benefit of effectively allowing no raises, promotions or bonuses…
Training to day may be completely out the window as there’s another hair-on-fire build that needs to happen this weekend starting today so I may not sleep until after work.
But hey - I learned some new stuff, so it’s still good.
I feel your pain…
Hope you at least get straight time for all the hours and not just flat salary…

Nope - I are full-time exempt. One pay grade too high for overtime pay.

Time to look for a new job? or does the convenience of working from home out-weigh the down side?
I’m always on the lookout, but I’m top of my pay scale and beyond what most are willing to pay these days. I do like working from home, mostly, and I got the dandy garage gym so how much more convenient can it get, eh? Just bitching because I’m tuckered. It’s a good gig, all things considered.

Happy birthday elder cousin! sorry I’m late, been too busy wallowing in my self pity. Pretty good workouts for such an old guy.
okay - I just went and did 475 rack pull.
But that’s ALL I’m doing.
When these impulses drive you back to the bar, do you bother to warm-up or just grip and rip?
Ihad woarmed up, but enough time had passed between the 455 and 475 that I was cold again. Not very smart. But, once you’re in, may as well go all the way…

If I use myself as an example, old doesn’t always equal smart. Nice rack pull BTW.

“Once your in, may as well go all the way”…just heard that last night…what was her name again???
Going hard and heavy at 47? Sounds good to me, I’ll be there soon enough. I’m back-reading your blog, might have the Anderson thing figured out now also, but then again, I’m fairly iliteratte so…you know…
Lotta landscaping work and heavy toting over the weekend. Hips are killing me - not used to being on my feet walking with heavy loads (or at all) for long periods of time. All the weight training got me through it though. Without it, none of the work would even have been possible for me.
I’ve done this enough times to just give in to it:
I can’t pull all that often with my back the way it is. Every time I try I get one, maybe two good weeks and then regress. It seems to work better if I just work the chain and do a max test every once in a while.
Although I haven’t tried just repping in the 70-80% range. Maybe that would work.

Give it a shot - alternating weeks or something. Or even do a 5x10 setup like the BBB accessory work in 5-3-1.
