45 Degree Lat Raises

I’ve got cartilage damage in my shoulder and a cortisone jab has done wonders for me (Administered by an orthapaedic consultant)

I’m awaiting to hear about an MRI scan, and it could be a long time before I actually have the surgery to shave off the damaged cartilage (Anothroscopic surgery)

I’ve been out of training for over a year but I want to get back into things because I’ve now got to the bottom of a back and knee injury, so I should be good to hit the lower body quite hard

For upper body work I don’t want to do anything above my head (No pulldowns, OH Pressing or incline work) and I’ll probably stick to bench dips, maybe upright dips when I’m strong enough to do them, and possibly decline DB bench work

My question is regarding side lat raises stopping the ROM to 45 degrees rather than going all the way up…I’ve read that the traps take over from the lateral head of the delt after going into a certain ROM, and also places more stress on the shoulder joint

Would 45 degree lat raises offer any hypertrophy potential without contraindicating my shoulder?
