350 lbs Bench Possible for Everyone

I genuinely think they can, assume we’re employing the normal caveat here of “healthy” to mean free of illness, physical and mental.

I think that is tough, trying to classify what counts as mental illness :joy:.

I’ve seen it with people growing up, family members, conworkers…etc. some mental qualities are simply out of reach. I honestly don’t know if they could be learned given enough time and stimulus, but I’m doubtful. The longer I’m on the earth the more I hate humans :joy:

Same, but more for their failure to realize their potential.

I’ll bet more people have PhD’s than Bench 350, though.

I’ll bet most people spend more time in school than they do benching.

Yes, and you have to spend a lot less time benching to get a 350 lb bench than you do schooling/studying to get a PhD.

Not if you’re a skinny nerd with an IQ of 200

Skinny nerds with high iqs generally spend more time in school and studying than most people, not less.

Of course, to the contrary, there are people who are not very smart who can study their asses off and get a PhD, just like small people who can bench 350, so the analogy works both ways.

Yeah but how long does it take for them to get to a 350 bench?

Obviously if you know science well enough than you can optimize your cortisol with MToR cluster wave periodization, so the answer is, as always, 42.

At least we can draw the line at, “can a 300 lb 32 year old who can’t throw a spiral become a quarterback for the Cowboys?”

Sounds like the storyline for the next Disney movie.

If you haven’t checked that thread out, treat yourself. It’s still going on, as far as I know.

I saw it earlier today, it’s too much to bear to read through. I wonder if it’s a twisted joke.

Well, if he’s successful, we’ll know the answer to the future thread: “Is Becoming a Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Possible for Everyone?”

Romo managed.

Having done some sessional teaching, I’m going to disagree and say this is an absolute no lol I don’t care if they devote all their time besides sleeping, eating and looking after their hygiene on the PhD and gave themselves 25 years to do it.

I’d put a 350lbs bench a lot lower than a PhD though.

I don’t understand why nobody is getting this part.
