I am guessing this expert you speak of will never, ever hold 300lbs above their head.
That’s awesome work Fred!
I’m actually looking to get started into O-lifting. Hopefully I can find a place around here (los angeles).
Did you start out at an O-lifting gym? Or did you start out on your own?
Once again, nice work!

I’m no expert, but any time you can throw 300+ lbs over your head, in any fashion, is impressive.
I push pressed 420 for 2 singles last april. I’m workin my way to the big 500!
I agree with you, overhead strength is rare and impressive.

This overhead pressing talk reminded me of an old video of Mariusz Pudzianowski. He ends up doing 200kg in this workout. I’m sure he’s capable of more, he’s just such a solid all around athlete for a man his size. His english is pretty funny too. Good watch.

I started by myself for about a year. My goal was to power snatch 225lbs from the hang first. Then I joined a o’lifts gym. The bad part is that I had develop quite a few bad habits.

Very nice vid. But at the end it’s 180kg not 200. Still impressive but yes he can definitely do more.

Ya your probably right, he says his last set is 200kg 450 pounds, which is actually 441 pounds. Maybe that’s what he normally does. He also does dunbbell shoulder presses after, and he says for 10 reps, then only does 7, haha. Either there’s some problems with his english or he didn’t do his normal routine. Good form on his lifts though, can’t dispute that!
