Bring it hard Austin.

No offense, but, who doesn’t have the dream of the Mr.Olympia, who is involved in boybuilding to any semi-serious extent?
I sure do. But I’m not going to continually post random threads like this…
Despite what is commonly said… there is alot of talented people on these forums… maybe they don’t post much… but just look around. You don’t see them making these kinds of threads either.
And even if you can get to 300lbs because of great genetics and a solid work ethic… you got the muscle shape for Mr.O?
Need I remind anybody of Kovacs?
Not trying to be a dick but I just see these threads as uneccesary & annoying. Especially since they probably wouldn’t be tolerated for anybody else except austin_bicep.
Good post? Psh. Who can’t write about their dreams and how great and determined they are?
Atleast post and actually be doing something. Like Mighty Stu and his diet for competition… etc.
Not just “Oh I wanna be Mr.Olympia and I am so determined and I will do it. Look at me look at me look at me”
[/rant]
Funny how some say this thread is unnecessary yet they respond by making negative comments. What is the necessity of negativity??? Maybe the OP wanted support or just wanted to share his goal with like-minded people.
I don’t see anything unnecessary, annoying or wrong with posting a goal on a PUBLIC INTERNET FORUM.

Here is my take. Whatever you do in life you need to strive to be the absolute very best that you can be, however at some point genetic limitations set in no matter what the profession. In some professions this is not an issue really in terms of making a living. I am scientist/applied mathematician/engineer and consider myself somewhere closer to the top than the bottom in terms of intelligence. However I don’t possess the brainpower of Wheeler/Feynman/Einstein,etc who, in terms of genetics for thinking, are equivalent to the pros in bodybuilding. I more than likely won’t win a Nobel prize nor will I win a Fields medal. However I can still make a good living doing what I do. In some other areas there really is no middle road, including bodybuidling. Problem is, you won’t know what your limitations are until you push yourself to the absolute limit.
My advice is work your ass off and see where it gets you but be ready to cut your losses if you aren’t NPC ready by 30. Have something you can fall back on so you won’t be working at 7-11 for the rest of your life. Working your ass off in the gym and in the kitchen still should allow for ample time to work your brain as well.

I am going to quote myself because I can and I
When someone is passionate about something, they tend to want to share their passion with others, especially those who have similar mindsets. People are so fucked these days it really does people good to see someone with such a possitive outlook. Is it necessary? Not really, is it detrimental? NO! Fuck, I mean how much shit is really necessary? We could go on about this until we realize all we need is fire, water, and the ability take rocks and sticks and build weapons and hunt some food. I mean the guy is excited, happy about his goal, determined, and thought he’d share. What kind of person thinks this blasphemy?
Austin, you can accomplish these goals, and hopefully I will someday, too. Like I said, it’s good to see people with similar goals and situations so that you don’t feel like you’re at it alone.

Man this just pissed me the fuck off, maybe it’s cause I’m angry right now but shit.
Don’t post if you have nothing to say except that my post annoys you. At least people who talked shit had something to talk about even if it was bullshit.
No I am not crying out for attention I get enough of that at home, at work, and everywhere else I go. I’m the go to guy when something needs to be lifted at the store, or someone is stealing and they need me to either help baracade the door or even tackle someone which my other friend did a few weeks ago when someone was trying to steal a cell phone.
Your random ass post is a cry for attention.
BTW if you looked at my original post it was not to gloat but to find out who shared the same goals/dreams as me and a few people did come out of the woodwork.
A lot of people also missed the point as well.
I forgot to mention, don’t fucking compare me to the Kovacs, some people you first heard of a few weeks ago when a thread was created on them. Fucking idiot.

hahahaha its funny theres no reason to try and bring austin down with all of your posts so why exactly do you take the time to lash out. Seems like you guys are the ones crying out for attention.
Best of luck. Just make sure that your education is still a major priority.
It’s too bad the original intent of this thread failed. It would have been interesting to see which posters had true intentions of bodybuilding at an advanced level. Austin named a few, but I bet there are other that seriously want to make this a long term life style.

I have to agree, I was going to initially jump in the mix but then it became a pursuit to defend Austin and similar people’s aspirations and end the constant flow of shitstabbing posts.
I love you Austin!
…but seriously, you have a way better chance than most round here. Im trying atm but youre light years ahead of me and well… 60 pounds heavier. I can see ya vision, hahaha, gerdy, waylanderxx, you and prof x, these even a couple more that i cant remember you would be up there. Maybe some not olympia but definately up there doing their shit at high levels.
Best of luck =)

That said, well done so far, you’re very strong for your age. Best of luck.

I think you’re mad because you are 5’2. I would be too.
Thanks for contributing to the cluster fuck this thread has become.
Fucking hilarious how we can’t even express our aspirations to be a high level bodybuilder on a BODYBUILDING website! It’s incredible the number of chumps who now post here.
If you need a ‘training partner’ for all you can eat pancakes at IHOP, I got yer back bro.

You guys realize that if OP lives in the dorms at college, he has four solid years of infinite food and 24/7 access to weights! You still don’t think a healthy 18-22 year old man can put on one clean pound per month in that environment?
