3 Days a Week/45 Minutes a Day

That’s how much time I got in my workout class. 3 days a week M,W,Fri. roughly 45-50 minutes total. What is my best bet starting Monday until May 21st. So far in my class I have been going on instinct and been seeing some gains but I want to end the class on a decent plan. What do you recomend I do in the time that I got ? Thanks.

What is more important is how much time do you have to dedicate to meal prep and eating? You can get a lot done in the gym in 45 minutes three times a week. I would probably do a tried a true 5x5 focusing on the big three.

push/pull/legs. Mostly compound movements. Can’t go wrong there.

Im rolling with the 5x5. My gym has a smith machine but no squat rack. Should I do squats on smith or substitute them with power-cleans. Do you think Deadlift, power clean, bench,alternative option( barbell row, pull-up,dip, shoulder press) total of 4-5 exercizes a workout would suffice ? On a website explaining bill starr’s program to me in detail it said specifically “NO SMITH MACHINE”. But of course that was the authors opinion.

Goal?

I want to get big and strong.

I know that nobody will tell me “dont do power cleans” because they are a very challenging exercise and produce dramatic results. The only thing Im concerned about is will this get me the size Im looking for if done correctly. I know they will give me the power and explosivness. I am 205 now and would like to be 210-215 by may 21’st

I think I’ll take the janitors approach and clean it up. ; )
