I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Secondary hypogonadism in 2020:
Hi I was wondering any any could give me some advise on what I could research do myself as I am not confident with the NHS system looking after me. Any thoughts on what could be suppressing my LH levels? I am not keen on TRT going forward until I can understand the mechanism which is causing me to experience pituitary suppression as I am only 21.
21 years old/idiopathic hypogonadism/everything else results wise came back fine including MRI. Just low LH levels. Tried testosterone injection last year for a few months under dr care along with hcg, but ended up shooting out the reference range and felt worst tried lowering multiple times, but still was to high and did not have the ability to keep doing regular blood work/dosage changes as I moved away to begin my exams.I was given enclomiphene 12.5mg for 4 weeks and waited until March to get a blood test and this has been the results. I am struggling with sleep and I’m losing weight which is concerning me along with zero sexual functional only reason I am holding together is my drive to complete my pilot training at the moment studying… My endo (NHS) takes months to respond to my messages and I am awaiting feedback on this blood results. Prior blood work reflect this exactly the same LH low, but FSH is normal and T3 is bottom of the reference range of slightly below.
Been on going issue for three years. The NHS are just trying there best with what they have, but so far have not really helped me. Only time I ever felt normal again was on HCG in 2021 for six months 2000IU once a week. Blood work showed on average 29nmol, but was only for six months for fertility on the NHS. Attached my recent blood work being off any medication since January. First blood test I had in 2019 had similar results Total T = 0.2 LH - 0.4 FSH - 1.2
One thing I am still not sure on was a LHRH test I had which the doctor noted that my response was “flat” I am not sure if this is a good or bad thing?
