Working from home today, so I made a real breakfast…

Omelette au fromage, champignons, poivrons, oignons et le bacon…

Well, nlmain said food sounds better in French…

Mainie was right, French makes a basic breakfast sound like breakfast at Tiffanys lol. I’m not even a big omelette person, but your real breakfast beats my Frosted Flakes, French or not.

Wednesday - 5/11

PLP 3x11, 2x10 - 53 reps total. One week to go on the challenge.

My triceps and lats really hurt.

Hockey 75 minutes - 2 goals, 2 assists

My legs are spent too, let alone those groin adductor muscles.

Lots of volume in your training with PLP, lifting and hockey. I’ll be 40 yrs this year and I am curious about how you cope with training vs recovery. Since you are also leaning up, that means you get less calories than spend, so that must be even harder. You probably have off-season to even out the training fot the whole year?

I know you North Americans don’t follow much the Hockey WC (more less now since the USA is on the way home already), since you have the NHL play offs going on, but here in Europe it’s bigger event. BTW, I see Norway losing today.

I try to listen to my body for recovery. If I’m dead tired or really sire, it’s time to take a break.

I’ll have figure out a new schedule for the summer. I’ll have hockey camp on Tuesday, pickup game on Wednesday nights, and a league game onthe weekend. I’ll still want to lift 3 times a week. Need to fit running and cycling in too.

Easy day before travel and hockey tournament…

Donated blood. BP was 106/72. Pumped out a pint in under 4 minutes.

Wow. Vitals are a great sign of progress and that means that you’re doing this whole fitness thing right lol

Friday the 13th…

Well forget to bring my door chinup stuff so I don’t have PLP. :frowning:

Won game 1 in KC 4-1. Was thrown in box for  “coincidental”  high sticking with D from other team in front of their net. The guy asked for it.

Busy - Nice back pics up there! Whoo-hoo. You’ve got some definition to your upper back and traps. Your mid back is looking thick! Great work.

Have fun with the hockey this weekend. If you weren’t in the penalty box, you weren’t really trying, right?

Saturday - 5/14

Won morning game 5-3. Dove and took out a slapshot with the body. No scoring for me. Typical

Driving a bunch of REALLY drunk hockey players around can be… well, interesting…

Congrats on the win. I guess by your driving the drunk guys around means that you all celebrated lol

Won last game 5-0 picked up a goal and a penalty.

Looks like we do not play in championship game because of
a 3-way tie for 1st.

We lose the tie breaker on goal differentials.

Nikki, it’s more the guys I play hockey with like to drink alot…

PLP 5x11 - Back on to finish off the PLP Challenge. 5 more days to go

Walk 2.3 Miles 31 minutes, 20 seconds. Was clipping off the 1/10 mile marks on the bike path every 82 seconds.

Bench Press 135x12, 185x5, 225x1, 185x3

Have not benched with a barbell in a while. Need to go back to it more.

Seated Row 180x12x3

Cybex Ab 70x30, 90x20 - Taking it easy because of the ab pain from last week.

Roman Chair 25lbsx12x3 - Working on getting rid of the back pain in skating.

Weighed in at 181… The HOT-ROX seems to help a lot.

Tuesday - 5/17

PLP 1x12, 4x11

Run - 2 miles, 20 minutes, 10 seconds. Well more like a jog… But it was outside

Hockey Camp - 75 minutes
