Taking the teens to see the midnight showing of Thor.
Putting in a 24 hour day today…
Busy has a log! Nice work in here.
That X-ray at the beginning is really something! Good Grief!
Good for you for continuing to be into your sport, and lifting heavy.
Reminded me of this.

The stairs I run…

Still have a pain point in the lower abs… ugh
Still doing PLP for the day.
PLP 4x10, 1x9
Squats…
I read Mark Rippetoe’s article on squats… So I am focusing on getting my thighs parallel to the ground…

Ok, I could still go higher, but the problem I had last night persists. It feels like I am getting poked with a pen in my lower right abs, when I cough, or really tense my abs. The specific spot feels ok in general. There’s no bubble there, like I have had with my previous hernia. So… I don’t know. I’ll schedule a appointment with the Doctor when I can call on Monday.
Sunday - 5/8
Oh well… Pain was still there, not quite as intense. Only did PLP. Day 50, 10 more to go on the challenge.
I’m not quiting.
PLP 5x10,10,10
Monday 5/8
Just PLP 1x11, 4x10 51 total
Walk 30 minutes 1.8 miles outside. Worked on a tan.
Abs feel better. Pain almost gone.
Maybe I’ll get more visitors to my log if I do some SRC’s…
Those stairs are Awesome! Hope you get yourself into the Dr. and see what’s up with your abs. Pain during your training is no good. I’ve may end up with a similar situation at my belly button, but I won’t bore you with it over here.
Oh, and you made a comment in one of the forums about being middle-aged man. We measure age by what we DO around here, NOT in chronological years. Anybody who’s lifting heavy, playing hockey, and running stairs is YOUNG! YOUNG I tell you! Hell, there are 25-year-olds who can’t keep up with us, Busy. Now don’t ever let me hear you say that again! LOL!
Thanks, Puff for stopping by.
I’m guessing it was a strain. Seems to have improved greatly.
I have hockey skills camp tonight, scrimmage tomorrow.
KC tournament starts Friday.
Tuesday - 5/10
PLP 2x11, 3x10 - total of 52 reps on the pullups, lunges and pushups.
Walk - 32 minutes outside. More tanning work. Was clocking off the 1/10 mile markers on the bike path every 85 seconds, so that’s like a 14:10 mile pace walking.
75 Minutes hockey skills camp. Nothing like being yelled at by a former NY Ranger…
Your level of activity puts me to shame.
I have no comment on the awesome-ness
IF YOU LIKE YELLING, JUST SAY SO! I DO THIS A LOT AT MY HOUSE!!
Nice with the PLP superset! I like that idea.
Have fun with the hockey camp.
Work hard, play harder!

The camp was hard, lol.
Won some of the race drills.
Finished with pushing the net to the Zamboni door the length of the rink in a sprint.
But that’s how I’ll improve.
Hockey game tomorrow and at least three games this weekend.
Maybe some beer drinking ![]()
