I was under the impression that T-Nation was about bodybuilding as well as performance which is why they post articles about increasing lifts, quickness, and vertical jumps. I could be wrong, and if I am I sincerely apologize. I am a substantially better athlete 14 lbs lighter for the record, and I only posted because I like to measure myself against what is considered the best in everything.
Figured it would be interesting to see what everyone had to say about my pics. Thanks for all the support. And did I forget to mention that I deadlift 515 and squat 420 parallel? In any case thanks for the support and criticism.
You’re right…and, you are doing very well according to your pics. Your arms aren’t 20 inches and you don’t have cannon ball shoulders, but SO WHAT. That’s not what you want or need.
Bodybuilders come in all different sizes. You can be a bodybuilder without looking freakish.
Here is the definition of bodybuilding for those that don’t know.
Bodybuilding
?noun
the act or practice of exercising, lifting weights, etc., so as to develop the muscles of the body.
Also, body-building, body building.
Origin:
1900?05; from the v. phrase build (up one’s) body; see -ing 1

for the record (not directed at anyone specifically, just a general statement many people could stand to read), people can retain their oppinions AND be wrong at the same time …being entitled to your oppinion doesnt mean you arent still wrong, most people seem to miss this

Obviously there are no pro-bodybuilders here. If we shouldn’t be jugding physiques against a Pro’s than who should be the standard? Dwight Howard? Shaq? Reggie Bush? Derek Jeter?
WTF So if everyone starts posting here saying they dont want to be a bodybuilder but only want to get better at their sport are we supposed to accomodate for them and change the criteria? Will the criteria change for each position in every single sport? You have got to be kidding me with.
Don’t get me started on rating someone for the change they make. With that mindset some obese guy who loses weight to look like a below average lifter would get a higher rating than someone who is above average that progressed to become great.
Were you actually believe what you wrote?
I do believe what I wrote man. While I understand your view in your last paragraph above; I think that people on this site that are a bit overweight and decide to diet down while staying pretty strong are doing a good thing and should receive some praise. Don’t take that any further and think that joe smo who just decided to stop drinking soda and lost 30lbs is my hero; that’s just step 1 of 100 for that guy.
But like I’ve said on many-a-thread; it’s the internet. And I’m not going to get in an argument. There’s no point. I read your taking your LSAT’s, so you have even less time to bicker about stupid stuff then I.

Are you really this stupid?
Yes - he’s proven that fact all over the board.
His cut and paste skills are pretty sweet too.
You’re lean and athletic, so you’re doing something right. I’d ditch the deads and focus on cleans for a bit man. Nothing helped my hops more than getting my #'s up on squats and cleans, and I’d bet all the tea in China they’d do the same for you.
