225 x 100?

Wow so many of you are so short sighted. You don’t think that a work capacity means something?

That’s a rep every 6 seconds. . . I don’t even want to consider trying this. lol. But I probably will one of these days.

I did it last night. 100 Reps is far off for me. And as far as the functionality of it is concerned. I would think that a guy that could Squat 100x225 is just as impressive as a guy that can squat 5x455. I mean this is a challenge thing. But even if it WAS a goals thing. Its a perfectly acceptable goal. Just as admirable as any 1RM.

I did 100kg (220lbs) for 35 reps when my 1rm was 140kg (305lbs). I reckon you could get very close to 225x100 if your heart was in it.[/quote]

When I was much weaker in my squat I could do 225 for 20 reps fairly often(can’t even dream of doing 35) I think it was because i had just come off a smolov cycle and my body was used to the volume because now i’m much stronger in my squat and if I near higher reps at any given weight my body is like fuck you… of course I haven’t tried to do 225x20 etc… but I don’t think I could do it without a couple week of prep lol.

High rep stuff is fun for a good challenge imo.

At the moment, I’m questioning my ability to squat the bar for 100 reps.

Sorry for the outburst. My cycles must be off… that was a joke.

Lay off the cratnz.

I am 48…we called them ‘Century Sets’.
We always built routines to prep. for them. I haven’t gone that far with it in many years, however, here is a clip of 210x50 I did last August. It took two minutes to get to fifty. If I broke it up into 4 sets of twenty five, I’m certain I would get it done.

eh I did 225 for 50 in 3:29, it sucked and I racked it after 36 for a few seconds. Go for it these kinds of personal challenges can be fun. ALthough my arms started to go numb after a while which is a wierd feeling

Jesus Christ. I did 50 with 135lbs a few years ago [max was between 385 and 405 at the time] and I felt like my muscles were vomitting inside themselves. 225 for a hundo sounds like the worst thing in the world.

I know I get the feeling of cumming just by thinking about 100 rep squats.

Haha. I know you do shit like that to push yourself but that sounds just awful. Count me out.

If the feeling lasts more than 4 hours you should be sure to call your doctor.

I would rather shit myself with full gear on and straps up with 700 on my back than do that.

I can’t even imagine how much will power and determination that takes. I remember doing 225 for 20 reps once, my lungs were on fire, arms were numb, couldn’t walk right for a day or two. I’m not nearly as advanced as alot of guys but 100 reps at 225 seems insane. No way i’d even try this.

I did 225x30 today after my work sets. It was pretty not bad. 50 may be possible in the near future… I’ll re-evaluate at that point on whether 100 is doable.

I have done 225 DL for 30 reps. I have done oodles of bodyweight squats with very high reps being an ex-Crossfitter…but 100 rep 225 lb. squats at age 50 (my age by the way)? Yikes!..I would set up in the hospital parking lot so I could get wheeled directly into the emergency room.

225 x 100 = estimated 975 lbs. 1rm on my rep-max estimator/calculator.
