Listen I am not talking shit about someone being under 200lbs, I could really care less about that. I have seen monsters under 200lbs and I have seen sticks under 200lbs. What I am talking about is you saying he looks like every other 300lb person which is not true. If you want to start some personal attacks I will be more then happy to make jokes about you. If you wish to continue this I will check this tomorrow.

personal attacks? such as what? show me something more personal than you and PrimalInsecurity going into a thread where there are obviously homosexuals and declaring that homosexuality is morally wrong.

Alright listen, I am coming at you about calling him fat, that is it. Stop brining other shit up, if you want to have debate with me on the subject that you are talking about now take your ass in that thread.

So far this is what you have said about the topic that I am debating with you on this thread. You called him a regular fat ass, then you call him a guy who looks like he was a football player but then got fat. Those are two entirely different types. Primal says he likes the looks of strongmen more. You take that as he is saying he has a strongmans body. You want to look like a bodybuilder but you are lightyears away from Ronnie, Should I say that you are a skinny fuck? No.

I think I understand now where you have seen all these 300lb guys at. They must be the guys at your gym repping or warming up with your maxes.

theres no debate- youre an idiot, and you cant follow a thought.

and i didnt say he looked like he played any kind of football at any real level- i said high school football. as in, the jackass that 20 years later still thinks hes the same 200lb high school senior out on the ole’ gridiron, except now that hes put on 100lbs of blub hes a powerlifter. try and follow that.

i have never, ever said that i was a bodybuilder. ive never considered myself one. even still, as awe-inspiring as “Ronnie” is, i wouldnt step into his body tomorrow if i could. as massive and muscular as he is, i have to believe that he did so much shit to his body to get there, that i simply wouldnt want it.

as for your clever little anecdote about my maxes being others warm-ups…perhaps in Primaldork’s circle of peers- that of Kaz, Jouko, Magnus, etc, that probably wouldnt be far from the truth. However, I am strong enough that it wouldnt be the case in a “regular” gym.
You obviously can not keep up with me because you are bringing up other arguments that do not pertain to this. If you read what he said you would see he said I like the looks. Sort of how you like the looks of Bodybuilders. If you want to debate something I said in anther thread take you ass in there and I will be more then happy to address you. Untill you have enough balls to come address me in that thread you can pretty much shut the fuck up about it.

Have a nice night.

John-

I just edited out my side of the argument and sent you a PM.

To the OP, you look good despite the hamstring injury. I’d go with the “eat lots of food” crowd and just be smart with the drinking (ie dont drink heinekens and jagerbombs all night). You don’t have to live like a monk to make progress.

Also, being fat is not a necessary condition for being a powerlifter. A powerlifter competes in his/her weight class and tries to obtain the best total he/she can. Of course the higher +100kg classes have bigger guys who often carry a bit more fat, who the hell cares. The important thing is, when meet time comes around, the support and encouragement is universal. Having animosity for a fellow lifter just because of how much they weigh is bad sportsmanship and just plain ignorant.

Say it aint so…

Even though it was a complete breach of etiquette to hijack the OP’s thread, you boys have provided a great deal of entertainment! I feel like I’m an 1 hour into a 90 min movie and the power went out.

Oh yeah, keep up the hard work, OP.

No one said that washboard abs are a bad thing…however the blatant abuse of mr polish powers steroid use will get his heart to explode like another american competitors did just a few years ago…oh thats right, you thought that was all given to him by Met Rx…lmfao!

I wouldn’t start that up again but you are 100% wrong about Jesse. Many of them use steroids-i would say majority- its not tested for. Steroids wont make your heart explode LOL.
Not meaning to be a smart arse. But indirectly steroids can cause your heart to explode(rupture).Steroids and their effects can cause your blood pressure to rise significantly. In the realms of the WSM a 300lb guy pulling a fire truck, who HR is peaking at 220bpm is at a significanlty increased risk of a sudden blood pressure spike causing a PV (pulmonary vein)or Aortic rupture,if this happpens its gonna be curtains. Before the “anti sreroid” criticsms come flying back,i have no issue with steroid use,and am a big fan of "the big guys"who do this stuff, just posting facts.incidentally I have lost 3 friends in the last 25 years in very similar circumstances.

I’ve been lurking T-Nation for quite some time, and I just had to poke my head in to say that this has to be the worst thread I’ve ever had the displeasure of reading. I think the best part was when a six-one, 310 pound guy said that steroids make your heart explode.

To the OP, I gave you a 4, but I wouldn’t take that too harshly, as it seems that a professional bodybuilder can’t get a 8.5 rating on this site. 20 pounds is a realistic goal, and, as previously stated, you don’t have to live like a monk to get gains. Your midsection tells me that you can get away with more drinking than most, more power to you. Increase calories and you’ll be there in no time.

Thnx guys, I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to tell weather my Hamstring is ready for the weights again…

All of my brusing is gone, it has been maybe 7 weeks since I tore it. I wrapped, iced, and heated it towards the end. I think it may be ready, but i’m no doctoR.
I agree with the sentiment that you should see a doctor…my teammate at junior college tore his hamstring at a showcase game, and if I didn’t know any better, that picture could be his…all jokes aside, I would say seven weeks is probably not enough. Better to be safe than sorry, because a second tear could mean surgery and lengthy rehab.

This is basically correct too. Some of of the posts on here are ridiculous, and so many threads lately have turned into steroid conversations instead of rating the physique (pwrbarboy comes to mind…that was probably one of the worst hijacks). All hijacking aside…twenty pounds is realistic, but you need to be careful lifting legs on your hamstring. As said in my last post, I would wait on doing that. See a doctor if at all possible.

EDIT: And this one turned into both a steroid argument and a “powerlifters are inherently fat” argument. Neither need to be on this thread.
