The Olympia has been moved to Orlando Convention center. It’s now in my backyard (1 hr away) for the first time.
Should I get tickets?
Definitely! People go even just for the Expo, and seeing all the “freaks” walking around, meeting old time pros (I met Lee Haney, Mike Christian, plenty of ol’ timers!), getting free samples, gym gear, watching powerlifters and other not-quite-bodybuilding-but-still-gym-related contests… I have a feeling that it’s one of those things you do, and when you’re there you find yourself thankful that you decided to go.

Lucky - I’ve always wanted to go. And Stu makes a convincing case I must say. I’m not sure what the public health situation is there, but if it’s reasonable, why not take the opportunity?
Trust me, will be massively unreasonable. I am close to this location as well, but placing yourself in the middle of all the vectors at this moment to see a bodybuilding show is not a mark of courage. Combine what we are currently seeing in the testing data & social behavior, layer that with hundreds of people flying in from all over and then place them in FLORIDA.
Another point of consideration might be that you would be surrounded by hundreds of folks that stereotypically are, given the nature of the sport, not risk adverse.
Not many pictures out yet but Curry is looking good 3 weeks out - hams are insane:
Edit: it was an old pic of Curry lol
Ramy is looking more peeled than he usually does on stage.
Hadi going to bring insane conditioning again but not sure how old this is:

Roelly has a frightening most muscular… haha
Roelly reminds me of Dennis James, looks great until he poses.
Lotta guys always looking crazy insane those last few weeks, and then it all falls apart en route to the actual stage…

A leaner looking more muscular Roelly could be a threat if he doesn’t try to play the size game again.
Kind of concerned that he doesn’t look super-sharp a week out, but I suppose he hasn’t started dropping water weight yet, so we’ll have to wait.
Is it just me or does it seem like the lighting isn’t that great (maybe deliberately so)?
To my eye, Curry’s lats are rather high, and thus not nearly the strong suit the narrator guy thinks they are. What’s your opinion in this regard, @The_Mighty_Stu?
I didn’t Get a chance to chime in on this yet, but this iMage came up on my feed and you could see the very different structural aspect when comparing Brandon to Phil .
S
From your experience as a judge, what aspects of each physique is seen as best? For example, Brandon’s high but short biceps vs Phil’s longer but flatter ones, is one shape better than the other?
Boom. Perfect image for pointing out the issue to which I was referring. Was completely nonplussed by the narrator gushing over such high lats.
It isn’t so much that Brandon has high lats as it is Phil has extremely low, full lats, IMO.
Roelly is out of the contest after testing positive for covid-19.
I think the incredible V-taper of Brandon’s physique more than makes up for that, personally. I think that’s the main thing the narrator (Nick) was getting at, that Brandon has way more width than Phil up top and a much tighter midsection. But to be fair I have to agree with your comment about him having high lats. It does take away from the look a little.

High pecs too.
