I donā€™t disagree with our blind spot to chronic risk, but Iā€™d imagine a big reason for the disparity you are describing has more to do with liability, no? An employer could expect to incur heavy legal damages from a single worksite injury, but a class action lawsuit for dust inhalation is unlikely to get off the ground.

First pro I ever saw up close was Troy Zuccallato (sp). Was blown awayā€¦ Then I saw the real upper tier guys. Indescribably impressive

Troy was great. In my opinion he had an awesome look, very reminiscent of the time he was competing. What people donā€™t realize though, is a lot of guys at his level, who just had a great look, and we knew from the magazines, weā€™re never going to place near the top of the actual top pro events. Thereā€™s a heck of a discrepancy between a ā€œproā€ and an actual upper level Olympia placing pro.

Kind of makes sense, with Flex Lewis (also a special invite) out and Ramy unable to get to Chicago pro due to covid. Also, he was scheduled to do the Arnold Australia, which was cancelled, so he was definitely wanted that qualification.

Good news, Ramy brings a lot of interest. I donā€™t see him winning with 3 Mr Os on the stage but one day he will put it all together, bring crazy size and conditioning, and it will be freaky to see.

at the end of the day, the Olympia promoters need the show to make money, so Ramy being a decent draw, its a no brainer for him to receive an invite.
