First of all, I just read the last couple post on this log. Just because one person makes a statement that agrees with what I was arguing doesn’t “debunk” anything. And I’m not going to go through that whole argument again, you can re-read the thread if you like.
Maybe the placebo effect is more potent for pressing exercises?
Could also be a matter of skills vs pure muscle strength.
Leg press is a lot easier now vs squats (still helps but less)
Increased my DB seated shoulder press but no effect on barbell press.
No noticeable effect on tricep dips and back exercises so far.
Well, to be fair, @jasmincar is really fucking strong at his bodyweight and fact that he’s borderline hypogonadal makes it even more impressive. I wouldn’t rule out the possibility that what he’s been experiencing after the first 2 weeks isn’t a placebo effect. It’s just that, and I hope you guys understand, I’ve never heard of anyone experiencing what he’s been describing here in the last 20 years lol.
Regarding pressing exercises, an increase in muscular fluid and glycogen storage(lbm) will lead to increased strength. That’s why people get stronger so fast on dbol, although this effect is, of course, fleeting unless they actually build muscle tissue or stay on dbol forever. This increase in lbm is also an increase in bodyweight, which probably has neurological benefits through distribution of the load over a larger area, hence some pressing movements may increase more, but this would be the same for a natty increasing his bodyweight.
Perhaps an exercise like the bench will benefit more due to this. I’m not too sure since I’m a meathead who benches with his feet on the bench so I don’t normally handle real 1-3RMs even if I do go into that rep range.

Don’t think I’ll delude myself into saying that’s a placebo with a 4 reps increase in 2 weeks while I have been adding 1 rep at a time, every once in a while, for years, on this exercise before that.

Honestly I dont think absolute DB row numbers matter that much, because if I did a different form (like elbows flared out at shoulder level for example) numbers would decrease significantly. It just happens that I feel going heavy is effective right now.
I am still 230lbs also. I dont know if my body composition has changed.
I am going on 350mg a week since a couple of days (one 100mg injection every two day with a full 0.5mL syringe), simpler and why not.
Bunch of ridiculous pressing PR, but most of all I got 240x2* barbell press. Not gonna write them because the last rep was one tad sbort for each and I dont wanna explain, ill write a whole count later. Not proud or excited about anything really.
240x2* is by far the most minor pressing PR but I am so glad I can finally stop doing the barbell press with that scheme for a while.

Forgot AI for last 2 injection, I take 0.5 mg anastrozole maximum per week (not accurate), bits of a 1mg pill there and there. Forgetting hasnt made a difference yet but I will not push my luck. Dunno if it’s really that necessary but anyway.
Yeah also I can tell my muscles are fuller now, but no big changes in appearance.
Front squat 405x1 again
Was very explosive, I have problems with the bar slipping at this weight and I really wanted to get this rep done this week. Guess I overrided something when the bar was slipping and figured my only chance was to complete the rep very fast before it would fall.
Now roids are kind of a double edged sword mentally, gonna talk about it later probably.
The monkey is gone, guess I am used to having him around I don’t “see” him anymore.

155x7* DB bench
Tried 165, but the second DB was too long and awkward to “flip” to a standing position on my knee with the first one in place. Got it on 6th or 7th try, but at this point I spent too much energy. Got 2/3 of the second rep after the first one was lifted up from the hole with the help of someone. I dont know if it will be useful that I try it again next week, but if I do ill get someone to help me put them in place to start this time.
125x5* DB seated press
410* front squat, bumped RDL to 605*, will do 610* next week because I dont like 6p+10, cringe.
Highlight of the session was when I finished front squat and went to finally take a shit I really had to take since putting 315lbs
Wanted to write an allegory on my oily aas skin, drifting to the tons of garlic and pepper I ate for lunch which purged my bowels and all the oil in me through my skin and about my rushed front squat ramp up along the way but I dont feel like it anymore
Got 165x1* DB bench after 155x7* (again).
Had someone to help with setup on the part when you put the DB on your knees with 165 so I could do 165x1*+some fraction of 2nd rep. First rep isnt counted, start at the top with help.
Even if I did the same amount of rep with 155 it’s pretty good because the start up (when the DB are on your chest) was awkward this time. It’s a big factor on this with large DB.
Tried 290lbs DB row today after 270x3, not really a PR, more of a choice.

No * because steroids dont do much for rows and chins poundages so far
Still doing 180lbsx1 neutral chin for a full good rep on a week, and x1 for a bad rep on other weeks

They write 5 mL on each vial, but really it seems like it’s 5 mL minimum cause it doesnt look like its emptying at all. Seems like I will never run out of it at this rate.

Had my blood pressure taken at the doctor today, just lol. Was like 150/something while I am les than 120/something usually.
Still at 350 mg per week, more like 300 mg for the past 2 week because I forgot one day each week and resumed the day after.
Today was legs, feeling stiff and didnt get 415 front squat. Stuck my lower back with RDL after leg press which werent good too.
I wont be doing anything good for back and legs until I get to go to the chiro, like in the good old days
