2012 Comp Season

Thank all of you so very much for the concern. It is really appreciated. Got sporadic power back today. Trying to get this posted before it goes off again. A little damage to the house but nothing major. Lot of broke glass in the sun room. Can already see the wife planning some kinda addition. We were blessed and none of the family hurt. Big brother Remi made sure all relatives were contacted one way or another. Several relative with damaged roofs staying out at another brothers farm til power comes back steady. His barns kinda become a commune. We’ve been chainsawing trees at relative’s houses after work every day (no docks in backwater this time). Did get up to Tennessee to compete Saturday, won the shot and discus. Went mainly to buy batteries and charcoal. Going up for the swimming next.

Great bulking program; no power, grill all the meat in your freezers before it goes bad, eat nothing but large quantities of meat for dinner and supper every day. I really need some ruffage in my diet right now.
Unsung heroes: about 4000 utility workers from all over the country working around the clock. Great damn job. If I can find a really hot looking female one I think I’ll hug her. Bragging; We’ve delivered mail, what we could get in from Birmingham, everyday without interruption. Cased the mail by flashlight and grilled on the back dock (yeah, more meat). Harry, glad to hear youi’re OK. A town here in Iowa got leveled by an F4 a couple weeks ago. We just getting into tornado season here.

Hi all. Long time lurker who decided to take the plunge and post a log. Goals are to be around long term, bring peace to all mankind, feed the hungry of all nations, develop viable alternative energy sources, and use Justin Bieber as a javelin catcher. Long term unaccomplished goal, lay Shakira. My diet consists of food. Supplemented with coffee. I’m 56, 6’2, inadvertently got down to 229 for a swim meet, back up to 235 now thanks to my strict diet of food.
Within the last 2 weeks have set the following maxs:
Bench: (w/pause) 385
Squat: (below 90) 475
Dead: 525
strict O/h press: 265
Clean: 275

I use the lift heavy shit often method and kill and eat anyone daring to even use the numbers 5, 3, or 1 where I can hear them. Other than lifting and swimming my favorite gym activities are doing nude jumping jacks in the locker room and blow drying my balls.
Presently preparing for 2 upcoming T&F meets in June, highland game, and maybe another swim meet.

Tennessee Senior Olympics, 500 freestyle. Cell phone vid from a fellow competitors wife, cut to make it shorter. Lane four, red cap, body suit, yours truly. Beginning tight as hell, stabbing water, trying to swim over non-existant waves, no push on turns. Round 150 yards got loose, gettin legs under me at turn. After 300 yards felt like going a lot farther than 500. Real proud of my turns, just started doing them a month ago. Need to work on arm technique. Don’t know if I’ll do any more swim meets but it was fun. Place: 1st. Time 5:38.13. No vids of the 200 breast, not many entries in it so all ages swam together, only one other guy in my age group and I thought I may have to go back and save his ass.

Thanks all, gonna try and get back to posting more regular. Still hitting the gym and/or pool everyday but its usually after work and helping out at someone’s place. Done clearing trees and damaged property and just finished up on an out building at a nephews place. Hit the bed at night exhausted but it’s the right kinda tired.
Today, pumped tin, aluminium, cardboard, and plastic instead of iron. USPS National Food Drive day. Had to unload my truck 5 times. Been hard times for a lot of people here lately with all the damage and the people just keep coming through. We’ve never collect this much food.
Oh yeah, seems my damaged sun room is being expanded and the heating/cooling system improved so we can put more plants in it. Just what I always wanted, my own indoor rain forest. Joy, joy.

Geez thats a good bench, I would surmise you could a benched more if you had a decent spotter. Smith Inclines are great, I usually dont use the smith that much, but you get such a great stretch from em, hmmm maybe tuesday Ill hit the smith.
