Lots of arguments in the throwing world as to the benefit of the bench on throwing, Jack. Most agree though that the incline really helps the shot. And truth be told, makes the upper pecs look good.
Thanks soldog, I seem to be on a roll lately. Either I’m being too much of a wise ass or everyone’s getting thin skinned, myself included. Maybe all us men are going through andropause. Maybe I’m just old and cranky.
After work, gym deserted, everyone home watching either Auburn vs LSU or getting ready for Ala vs Tenn.

That takes some hardcore focus to train the two big lifts on the same day. Nice work. A Big shout out to you hel.Keep hammering away. Jimmy T
Bunny, won’t learn nothing you don’t already know about lifting but it’s a good read for getting re-focused

That is impressive. Bet the swimming helps keep your shoulders mobile.
Thanks all, soory I haven’t been responding. Trying to get all the PMs answered, too.
“Memento mori”, a latin phrase I’ve known for years and can mean several things. One is, “remember you are mortal”. After a couple of months of really pushing it I finally hit a wall. Been swimming real hard and real far while lifting the same way. Went for my shoulder work out the other day and just had nothing in me, same with the chest the next day. So, I’m doing a deload of sorts. Work outs are looking something like this:
Day 1
Front squats
leg press
leg extention
calve raises
cable flyes
Day 2
Swimming,Speed work
Day 3
facepulls
Rear delt raises
standing tri extensions, ez curl bar
tri push down/rope
Day 4
Distance swimming
Day 5
squats
romanian dead lift
light deadlift, up to 375
bent row
hammer curls
Day 6
Speed swim
Giving my shoulders a rest from lifting for a few weeks. Hitting the legs and back. No bench or overhead lifting.
Companies are gearing up for the Christmas season. Been mandatory overtimed 2 weeks in a row. Get off work, take my supplements (Folgers premium roast) and hit the gym or river. Weather just took a turn for the cooler so may have to start visiting the cement pond soon.
I was beginning to wonder if you ever rested. That looks like a great routine, way to go Harry. I can sympathize with the mandatory OT, we are slammed right now.
I usually rest every decade or so DZ. Running out of decades so been afraid to slow down. 6.1 miles according to my route sheet Steve. About 375 sets of steps if I remember. I’m so use to that now I don’t even think of it as cardio.
Need to do some throwing Carl. Think I’ll find a place in the woods like Feuerbach and Wilkins back in the day and do nothing but throw and hold parties.
Thanks Mr D.
