How did Poundstone do?
It was really hard to keep track of any of that. Nothing was set up for spectators. You are pretty much going and watching the taping of a TV show. There were only a couple hundred people there both days I went.
Shaw looked good. He was one of the few to complete the truck pull. I don’t know any times though. He only did a few token reps on the deadlift for reps, so I’m assuming he had rapped up.
I can tell you the guy is probably the largest person I have ever met. His hand was too wide for me to grip when I shook his hand.
Felix took the deads for reps I think.
From day 2 (9/18) I didn’t see anyone press all the dumbbells. And Big Z was the only one to press the largest block.
Shaw pressed all the dumbbells and I’m pretty sure he was the only one. Big Z and Poundstone both got all of the blocks which topped out at 330 lbs. The big story on the sidelines was the early withdrawal of Travis Ortmayer. There were a lot rumors surrounding his profanity laced tirade after the axle squat but it seems he suffered a medical DQ over concerns about his ankle as a result of the injury from last year.

I’ve got some overhead pressing pics too, but haven’t gotten them off the camera I wasn’t able to stay the whole day either.
I went with some friends from Iceland and they said It was Hafthor’s first truck pull and Magnus was givving him advice just before. Ya, he only beat EVERYONE! Hell his grandfather was 6’11".
I wanted to rabit punch the guy clapping in the back of the head so bad. Thats all he did for e/o.
Yeah. I heard Kaz say Shaw weighed in at 420 (down for him). Those 2 are monsters of the monsters.
I saw that photo-op but was too slow with my camera.
Camera died half way through the stones so I didnt get that many pics. That and my back was more or less shot for standing up for two day stright.
