Yeah middle of the week finals. Kind of fucking unbelievable that these changes were announced only a couple days ago.
Even the qualifying rounds are during the week. You’d think they’d be interested in drawing some good sized crowds out there, but that makes it tough. It’s pretty ridiculous how little information they share about the event, and how late they send it out.
17 and 18 for qualifying are the weekend.

No, nobody really seems to get that they DONT GIVE A SHIT about the fans in attendance. They aren’t charging, so they don’t make any money off them, and even if they inconvenience 200-300 people (and that is a stretch, to believe there are that many there who specifically traveled to be there), that’s probably less than .01% of the total worldwide audience of people who watch the tv program while simply flipping through channels. If everyone who was planning to go simply boycotted, I doubt they would care one bit. I’m actually surprised they’ve even gone to the effort of creating a facebook page and updating it. If they had to just hire extras to stand in the audience and cheer on cue, they’d just include that in their costs.

I suppose when they do the events in their typical locations, like Malaysia, they don’t really expect many people to get excited about it, besides random passer by’s that take an interest at big dudes lifting cars.

Does this include a continental breakfast buffet full of excessive carbs!?! I live about 3 hrs away & was thinking about coming up. There seems to be a lot of powerlifters at our gym lately and it always fun to watch them sling the weights.

I’m headed out there Friday, but would like to stay up to date while I’m not there.
Everything’s very word-of-mouth, so there’s lots of misunderstandings and incorrect updates.

I’m in town. I missed Thursday but have seen the rest. Jenkins and Shaw looked good today on the truck pull despite the uphill grade. I’ve got video of everything I’ve seen so far although some of it is pretty far off.
